Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with complex learning needs? If you have experience with various SEND needs such as ASC, SEMH, PMLD, and more, we want to hear from you! We are currently seeking a creative individual to join our school community, providing support to children with SEND needs. Previous experience is not necessary for this role! As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll be bringing a wealth of transferable skills to the table, including proficiency in role-playing. SEND Needs: Autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome and Moderate Learning Difficulties Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting with day-to-day classroom activities, reinforcing targets, offering supervision and support as needed, and maintaining consistent routines for the children. A calm and positive demeanor is essential, as is a proactive approach to building relationships with the children. While experience working with children is preferred, it is not essential for this role, a creative and positive mindset is a must. What You’ll Be Doing: • Providing 1:1 support to children with special needs and lower ability levels., • Supporting students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other Specific Learning Difficulties., • Assisting in managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive learning experiences.
