LEXINGTON HOTEL The Finance Manager - Financial Operations supports the Director of Finance in providing consistent leadership and oversight of the hotel’s financial operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate billing and collections, ensuring compliance with company policies, and safeguarding the hotel’s financial assets. The Finance Manager also works closely with the Front Office, Sales, and Operations teams to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain clean AR aging, and ensure timely collection of all outstanding balances. Responsibilities: • Assist and report directly to the Director of Finance in all accounting and financial functions., • Prepare, review, and issue invoices for airlines and corporate clients., • Post and apply payments received via checks, wires, credit cards, and direct deposits., • Reconcile and post Marriott loyalty reimbursements., • Reconcile airline billing, ensuring accurate routing, rate and occupancy verification, and collection of outstanding balances., • Review, reconcile, and maintain the monthly tax-exempt log, ensuring all supporting documentation and backup are properly compiled., • Conduct weekly credit and open balance meetings with Front Office and Sales teams to address aging accounts and resolve outstanding issues., • Maintain AR aging schedules, ensuring accounts remain current through proactive follow-up and collection efforts., • Provide Front Desk and Sales support with billing questions, credit card authorizations, and account adjustments. resolving discrepancies and maintaining clear communication on all financial matters., • Deliver excellent customer service when communicating with guests and clients regarding billing inquiries, payment disputes, or account details., • Handle cash operations including issuing, auditing, and reconciling hotel banks; ensure all cash handling policies are followed., • Maintain documentation for all transactions in accordance with company and audit requirements., • Ensure compliance with all MCR Hotel policies, accounting procedures, and federal/state/local regulations., • Assist with month-end close by reconciling AR sub-ledgers, preparing journal entries, and supporting balance sheet account reconciliations., • Participate in internal and external audits as required., • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in all financial matters., • Attend required meetings and participate in M.O.D. (Manager on Duty)coverage as needed., • Cross-train and provide backup for other Finance Managers during scheduled time off or absences.
