Job DescriptionJourneyman Electrician Location: Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi Industry: Commercial Construction Company Type: EPCO (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations & Maintenance) About the Company We are an established EPCO (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations & Maintenance) company serving the Pacific States, U.S. Territories, and international locations abroad. We are currently seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to support ongoing and upcoming commercial construction projects on Oʻahu. This role is ideal for a skilled electrician who takes pride in craftsmanship, safety, and code-compliant work. Job Description The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on commercial and select residential projects. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, construction drawings, and best practices to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical installations. Job Duties & Responsibilities • Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and building plans to construct electrical systems that are mechanically sound, code-compliant, and aesthetically integrated., • Perform all electrical work in compliance with NEC, local building codes, and jurisdictional standards, maintaining the highest level of workmanship., • Demonstrate working knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems., • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems independently or as part of a team., • Execute electrical installations including:, • Wiring and conduit runs, • Panel terminations, • Low-voltage systems, • Proper wire management and labeling, • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues, including fault-finding, rewiring, and system monitoring., • Conduct routine maintenance, testing, and inspections to ensure systems meet manufacturer specifications and code requirements., • Proactively identify jobsite issues and communicate with the Project Manager, offering solutions to maintain schedule and quality., • Apply a thorough understanding of electrical components and how they integrate into overall construction projects., • Complete and submit accurate documentation including:, • Daily Reports, • Weekly Reports, • Job Safety Analysis (JSA), • Tailgate and safety meeting documentation, • Complete OSHA 30-hour training prior to start or within the first week of employment., • Communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, vendors, and the public while representing the company., • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or project leadership.Education & Qualifications, • Active Journeyman Electrician License, • 3–5 years of experience in general construction and electrical work, • Valid Driver’s License, • Strong knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards, • Ability to read plans and execute work with professional workmanship, • Ability to inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and code compliance issues, • High school diploma or equivalentAdditional Skills & Qualifications (Preferred), • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, • Experience working on commercial construction projects, • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, • Strong communication and documentation skills, • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamworkWhy Join Us, • Steady commercial work on Oʻahu, • Safety-focused and quality-driven organization, • Opportunity to work with an established EPCO contractor, • Professional environment with long-term project potential #AerojobsHawaii Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of HONOLULU, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
