And Many More! Summary: The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for the leadership, coaching, onboarding, and continuous training of all Member Experience Officers & Representatives. Monitors assigned employee activity; provides leadership, guidance, and support; with a focus on meeting or exceeding performance expectations to achieve member experience service levels and branch sales goals. Directs the daily operational and reporting functions of the branch including compliance with existing regulations and policies. Supports the Area Branch Manager or Branch Manager in creating engaged members, business members, organic growth, and enhanced branch profitability. Essential Functions: • Responsible for day-to-day operational activities and efficiencies within the branch., • Fully understands functionality and operation of the Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) and can troubleshoot any challenges., • Onboard, lead, manage, coach, train (new and existing) and support all Member Experience Officers & Representatives., • Facilitates monthly 1 on 1 employee meetings. Completes performance evaluations on or before the due date, has oversight of employee development plans and goal setting., • Assist and support recruitment efforts with the Area Branch Manager or Branch Manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training new employees, • Adhere to and lead performance standards, to meet and/or exceed performance and growth goals of the branch., • Works independently, and as part of a team, to create, support, and deepen consumer and business member relationships., • Resolves escalated member service concerns., • Assists/Directs member financial transactions, opening accounts, loans, and maintenance., • Responsible for ensuring team awareness and adherence to all security procedures relative to the handling of member transactions, branch security, and internal operating procedures. Must maintain member and employee confidentiality., • Supports the Area & Branch Managers to schedule branch employees to meet the needs of the employees and business., • Works effectively with members (Internal, External, and Potential), vendors, peers, and management., • Represents the credit union to its members in a courteous, professional, and confident manner., • Provide and ensure efficient, prompt and accurate service in handling and processing member account and financial transactions., • Abides by and ensures that branch staff abides by Belco’s policies, procedures, designated standards, and regulatory/compliance mandates., • Works to meet and exceed the credit union’s annual strategic goals and initiatives as determined by Executive leadership., • Abides by and ensures that staff abide by Belco’s policies, procedures, designated standards, and federal and state regulations and compliance mandates., • Embodies Belco’s mission, vision, behavioral expectations, and the Belco Life Brand., • All other duties as requested by the Area Branch Manager or Branch Manager. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and consumer technology such as computers, phones, printers, scanners, fax machines, mobile electronic devices, and interactive teller machines/recyclers. This position may require periodic work outdoors by helping members at the drive-thru Interactive Teller Machines (ITM), curbside member service, and work at community events. Physical Demands: Aptitude for numbers, Excel spreadsheets, and reading, interpreting, and generating financial reports. This role requires significant standing and movement throughout the day in excess of 90%. Sitting, bending, and hand dexterity required. Ambulation – able to move from one area to another throughout one-floor office layout. Reliable transportation with the ability to operate a vehicle. Travel: Periodic travel to local businesses/members/community events, other Branch Offices and Operation Center, as well as, evening and Saturday is required. Minimum Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED is required. Two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions Preferred Education and Experience: Higher education with more than two-years experience in a sales, leadership role within a financial institution. Well-versed in sales techniques and technology, knowledge and comfortability with all Office 365 products is preferred.
