Currently we are seeking a Category & Pricing Analyst to join our Product Management team. The Category & Pricing Analyst focus is pricing management, data integrity, competitive benchmarking and visual story telling of the data, playing a pivotal role in optimizing product profitability and supporting strategic business decisions. ESSENENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES Pricing Strategy, Margin Protection & Governance • Monitor and protect product and spare part margins through active pricing oversight., • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of pricing strategies, price lists, and discount structures., • Evaluate and recommend pricing changes based on cost inputs, market conditions, and margin targets., • Execute margin analysis (“Margin Math”) including GP%, price increases/decreases, and profitability impact., • Assess the financial impact of pricing changes, promotions, rebates, and customer‑specific pricing agreements., • Support pricing for new product introductions, including margin analysis and market price positioning., • Ensure pricing governance, controls, and approval processes are followed., • Maintain pricing data integrity across systems and reporting tools. Market, Category & Competitive Analysis • Analyze pricing performance, margins, costs, and volume trends across assigned product categories., • Conduct competitive pricing and market analysis, including monitoring competitor pricing movements., • Monitor market pricing and category‑level benchmarks to validate internal pricing strategies., • Analyze product mix, lifecycle trends, and demand variability within durable goods categories., • Ensure product and spare part pricing remains market‑aligned, profitable, and logically merchandised within each product line. Syndicated Data & Market Intelligence (Circana) • Leverage Circana (formerly NPD) tools to extract POS, market share, and category performance data., • Analyze category trends, price sensitivity, and consumer behavior shifts., • Track “Rest of Market” performance to benchmark internal pricing and margin strategies against industry standards. Financial Analysis, Modeling & Forecasting • Build pricing models, profitability analyses, forecasts, and scenario planning tools., • Perform regular audits of pricing structures and margin performance., • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including gross margin, price realization, mix, and profitability., • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning with data‑driven insights. Reporting, Visualization & Executive Decision Support • Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership., • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint., • Convert raw internal and syndicated data into compelling visual reports and executive‑level “snapshot” summaries., • Highlight margin performance, risks, opportunities, and recommended pricing actions., • Provide executive‑ready materials that support high‑level commercial decision‑making. Cross‑Functional Partnership & Communication • Partner with Category Management, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Global teams to support pricing and category strategies., • Coordinate with Global partners to obtain pricing updates, costing inputs, and forward‑looking insights., • Communicate pricing, category, and financial insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Ad Hoc Analysis & Continuous Improvement • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from business leaders., • Support continuous improvement of pricing processes, tools, and analytical methodologies. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS Experience & Education • Five (5) to eight (8) of experience in pricing, category management, financial analysis, or commercial analytics., • Demonstrated experience owning pricing decisions across product portfolios within a durable goods or complex SKU environment, balancing cost volatility, competitive dynamics, and gross margin objectives while supporting commercial and financial targets., • Hands‑on background assessing category health using a combination of internal performance data and external market benchmarks, with the ability to identify structural gaps in pricing, assortment, and mix relative to the broader market., • Proven track record leveraging syndicated data platforms (e.g., Circana/NPD) to extract actionable insights on price elasticity, share shifts, consumer behavior, and “rest of market” dynamics to inform pricing and category decisions., • Experience developing robust financial models that quantify trade‑offs between price, volume, mix, and margin—enabling leadership to understand risk, upside, and downstream profitability impacts under multiple scenarios., • Demonstrated ability to distill complex pricing and financial analyses into concise, leadership‑ready narratives, visuals, and recommendations that influence decision making across commercial, finance, and senior leadership teams., • Experience in a durable goods, manufacturing, industrial, or consumer products environment strongly preferred., • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field required. Technology Proficient in • ERP System; SAP preferred, • Data Visualization Tools; PowerBI preferred., • Syndicated Data & Analytics Software; Circana required., • Project management software, Wrike preferred, • Ability to quickly and proficiently learn new software with ease.
