Job DescriptionProduction Packer Job Description Work in a hands-on production environment where you package products into vials, bottles, cans, and other containers, while cross-training in areas such as mixing, final packaging, and labeling. You will support the full production process by operating and monitoring equipment, following established procedures, and assisting in other departments as needed. Responsibilities • Package products into various vials, bottles, cans, and other containers according to established standards and specifications., • Label packaging accurately and consistently, ensuring correct product information and placement., • Perform general production work, including staging materials, organizing workstations, and maintaining a clean and orderly area., • Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper performance and promptly report or address issues., • Operate and adjust labeling equipment to maintain quality and efficiency on the packaging line., • Follow process-oriented workflows and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and product quality., • Assist in mixing product, including measuring and combining ingredients or batches as directed., • Support final packaging activities, including assembling packaging components and preparing products for shipment., • Work collaboratively as part of a small production team, assisting in other areas and departments as needed., • Lift and move materials and products weighing 25 pounds or more on a consistent basis. Essential Skills • Experience working in production, packaging, or general assembly environments., • Ability to perform packaging tasks, including packing products, operating on packaging lines, and working with packaging machines., • Capability to monitor machines and operate and adjust labeling equipment., • Strong attention to detail and process-oriented mindset to ensure consistent quality., • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with coworkers., • Willingness to learn and assist in other departments as needed., • Basic proficiency in English to follow instructions, labels, and production documentation., • Ability to lift 25 pounds or more consistently throughout the shift., • Comfort working in a non-temperature-controlled production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with production packaging lines and packaging machines., • Experience in mixing batches, ingredients, or products such as paint or similar materials., • Familiarity with general production practices, including staging, assembly, and packing orders., • Exposure to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environments., • Experience operating a forklift or working around material handling equipment., • Basic math skills to measure, count, and verify product quantities., • Ability to handle packing lists and documentation related to packaging and shipments. Work Environment This role is based in a small production facility with a team of approximately 15 employees, creating a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours. The facility is not temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons and require comfort working in fluctuating temperatures. You will work on production and packaging lines, operate labeling and packaging equipment, and handle materials throughout your shift while adhering to safety and production standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
