Job DescriptionJob Title: Janitor Job Description We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Janitor, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of hospital rooms, especially post-discharge. This position involves extensive walking and being on your feet throughout the day. You will be tasked with wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning spills, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces as needed. Your ability to pay attention to detail across multiple floors is crucial. Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize hospital rooms following patient discharge., • Wipe down medical equipment and surfaces., • Empty trash receptacles and sweep floors., • Dust surfaces and clean up spills promptly., • Mop floors and sanitize areas as needed., • Use issued iPhones to receive assignments and access cleaning tutorials., • Experience with smart phone technology., • Knowledge of housekeeping and janitorial duties., • Ability to sanitize hospital facilities effectively., • Previous experience in janitorial work, preferably in healthcare settings., • GED or diploma is preferred. Work Environment This role operates in a very fast-paced setting within a #1 trauma center, which may present challenging sights. Employees must be patient and adaptable, especially during initial onboarding which may take a few weeks before receiving a badge. The work schedule includes rotating shifts with the requirement to work every other weekend and major holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
