Job Description Distributions & Account Services Analyst - Las Vegas, Nevada USA (Fulltime, Hybrid) $26.00 Hourly Employment Type: Full-time, Hybrid Why Work Here? “We value experience, the desire to gain knowledge and the motivation to do your best.” Job Purpose The position will advise an employer or plan sponsor in matters relating to retirement plans, review and analyze retirement plan documents, prepares and manages plan and funding documents related to retirement. Our ideal candidate would be a Distributions and Account Services Analyst with a High School Diploma and has worked a minimum of five (5) years’ experience. Primary Responsibilities: • Respond promptly and professionally to emails and phone calls from clients, participants, brokers, CPAs, and depositories,, • Process and review participant withdrawals, distributions, and related plan transactions,, • Apply for Employer Identification Numbers (EINs) as needed for new plan setups or administrative purposes,, • Administer missing participant searches and ensure compliance with plan and regulatory requirements,, • Support outsourcing teams with the processing of distributions, loans, and related benefit activities,, • Prepare and maintain Retirement Plan Administration (RPA) Memorandums and related documentation,, • Process Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs) in accordance with plan provisions and legal guidelines,, • Conduct research and provide analytical support for retirement plan operations and participant inquiries,, • Prepare and reconcile annual IRS forms, including Forms 1099-R, 1096, and 945,, • Manage plan-related applications and ensure timely processing of all submissions,, • Assist clients with Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) transactions and related tax reporting activities,, • Support Form 945 projects, ensuring accuracy and timely completion,, • Electronically file urgent Form 5500 submissions and upload confirmation documents to the company’s website upon compliance consultant approval,, • Assist outsourcing teams with Forms 5500/8955-SSA processing and coordinate with compliance consultants as needed,, • Prepare and support mailing of Form 5558 extensions, including urgent submissions,, • Provide backup support to team members as needed and collaborate to ensure smooth departmental workflow,, • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned,, • Prepare and issue tax documents, including Forms 1099-R, 945, and 1098,, • Provide distribution documentation as requested for plan audit purposes,, • Coordinate with the depository to ensure accurate and timely completion of transactions,, • Review and verify peers’ work for accuracy and compliance prior to processing. Secondary Responsibilities: • Prepare and distribute retirement letters, election form packages, and true-up notifications,, • Conduct follow-up calls for returned mail to obtain updated participant addresses,, • Generate and issue retirement and benefit claim letters (LDSCO and Milliman copies) along with election forms,, • Prepare retirement payment final calculation true-up letters (LDSCO and Milliman copies),, • Process Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) claim letters (LDSCO and Milliman copies) with corresponding election forms,, • Prepare pre-retirement annuity death benefit claim letters (LDSCO and Milliman copies) and associated election forms,, • Set up initial benefit payments (Retirement/QDRO/Death) in accordance with retiree elections, adhering to fixed monthly bank deadlines,, • Process tax withholding updates and direct deposit changes, ensuring timely execution within bank deadlines,, • Administer final calculation true-ups, benefit amount changes, and one-time true-up special payments within required timelines,, • Manage participant address changes and updates,, • Set up retroactive retirement plans and process retroactive special payments,, • Ensure final retirement letters from Milliman are generated, stored, and available for download; notify LDSCO via email,, • Generate and maintain Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) files (including Social Security numbers) in Milliman site sharing; notify LDSCO upon availability,, • Prepare Employee Benefit Statements for active and deferred vested participants for communication and recordkeeping purposes,, • Maintain and update retiree databases to ensure accurate and secure participant information,, • Generate special reports or statements as requested,, • Perform clerical duties, including copying, scanning, and mailing letters,, • Maintain special invoice backup for client requests,, • Provide notary services as required for official documentation.
