The PSR II follows established Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and collection procedures, prepares specimens for testing, and engages with patients to explain processes in a reassuring, accurate, and professional manner. This role supports multiple locations as business needs dictate and demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strict confidentiality.Key Responsibilities, • Perform daily phlebotomy activities accurately and on time under supervisor direction., • Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times., • Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures., • Verify patient demographics and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling., • Maintain required records and documentation., • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public., • Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision., • Utilize excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections., • Remain flexible for weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, overtime, and location coverage., • Commit to all policies, including dress code, Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles., • Make sound decisions using established procedures and professional judgment., • Maintain reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for multi-site travel when required., • Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting., • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, supervisors, and peers., • Participate in training at varied locations based on trainer availability.Required Experience, • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections., • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred., • 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred., • Keyboard/data entry experience.Required Education, • High school diploma or equivalent (required)., • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA—not applicable in WI).Required Skills, • Excellent phlebotomy skills (pediatric, geriatric, capillary)., • Ability to produce accurate, error-free work., • Strong communication and customer service skills., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Preferred Skills, • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)., • Ability to handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings., • Ability to travel and adapt to changing schedules., • Strong decision-making and judgment within established procedures.Additional Skills, • Superior customer focus, • Ability to accelerate and embrace change, • Understanding of the business and patient impact, • Open, transparent communication, • Commitment to organizational policies and principlesBenefits, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans, • 401k Retirement FundAbout the CompanyA leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
