Job Summary The Data Analyst / Data Management Analyst is responsible for testing, validating, and maintaining the accuracy and completeness of retail food data used in Power BI and other data visualization and reporting tools. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity, identifying gaps or anomalies, and continuously improving data quality, reporting logic, and insights delivered to business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across data sources, dashboards, and business partners to ensure retail pricing and purchasing data is reliable, actionable, and trusted. Key Responsibilities • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of retail food pricing data used in Power BI and other reporting tools, • Perform routine and ad-hoc data validation and quality checks, identifying discrepancies, gaps, and anomalies across systems, • Test and support dashboard reports, and datasets, confirming pricing logic, calculations, and refresh processes meet business requirements, • Partner with IT, Pricing, Account Management, Finance, Operations, and external vendor teams to investigate and resolve data quality issues, • Act as a key analytical partner to stakeholders helping translate retail data questions into clear data insights and reliable reporting, • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, reporting processes, and pricing insights, • Analyze retail data to help identify trends, exceptions, and risks that may impact business performance, • Maintain documentation of data definitions, validation rules, and known data limitations to support data governance and consistency, • Support additional analytical, reporting, or data-related projects as business needs evolve Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field, • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, data management, or reporting role, • Hands-on experience with reporting, dashboarding or visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc.), • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, • Experience working with large datasets related to pricing, purchasing, sales or retail data Preferred Qualifications • Experience with retail food, hospitality, or consumer pricing data, • Knowledge of SQL for data validation and investigation, experience with other data analysis or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus, • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and ETL processes, • Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks Apply to Foodbuy today!
