This role serves as a primary liaison for group and event clients, ensuring seamless communication, accurate administration, exceptional guest experiences, and revenue optimization. This position partners closely with Rooms, Food & Beverage, Operations, and culinary teams to deliver flawless, bespoke events that reflect the hotel’s brand standards and service culture. This role is ideal for a polished professional with a strong background in hospitality, and a proven ability to manage groups and high-touch events with precision and grace. Key Responsibilities Group & Event Management * Manage group room blocks from contract turnover through departure, including rooming lists, cut-off dates, billing coordination, and departmental communication * Prepare, lead, and distribute group resumes and event meetings to ensure operational alignment and flawless execution * Serve as the primary on-property contact for group and event clients, greeting and supporting clients throughout their stay or event * Conduct post-event follow-up, gather client feedback, and assist with invoicing and billing reconciliation * Maintain accurate and organized client files, communication logs, and follow-up systems Catering & Event Planning * Plan and execute wedding catering events from initial planning through on-site execution * Create, manage, and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, and event documentation with exceptional attention to detail * Guide clients on menus, beverage selections, wine pairings, décor, entertainment, AV needs, floor plans, and overall event logistics * Lead site visits and pre-event planning meetings with professionalism and enthusiasm * Partner with Culinary, Banquets, and Operations teams to ensure events meet contracted minimums, deadlines, and brand expectations Guest Experience, Sales & Revenue Optimization * Identify opportunities to upsell catering events and ancillary experiences to maximize revenue, particularly for rooms-only groups * Drive revenue performance by ensuring contractual minimums is met or exceeded * Support the development and execution of on-property guest experiences, activations, and live entertainment aligned with brand standards and budgets * Curate bespoke, memorable event experiences that exceed guest expectations and strengthen client relationships * Represent the hotel with integrity, professionalism, and a service-first mindset at all times What We’re Looking For * Proven success in hotel or luxury hospitality event planning or operations * Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills * Ability to manage multiple high-level events simultaneously with strong attention to detail * Strong sales acumen with a passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences * Guest-focused mindset with a commitment to “above and beyond” service * Proficiency in event management systems and Microsoft Office (OPERA, Tripleseat, or similar systems preferred) * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Preferred Qualifications * Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel catering, event services, or related hospitality roles * Experience in a Forbes Travel Guide–rated property or comparable luxury environment strongly preferred * Degree or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus, but not required The Henry Hotel is an Equal Opportunity employer.
