Job Description TITLE: Catering General Manager (Corporate) COMPENSATION: $95,000 - $110,000 | 15% Annual Bonus BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Sick Days & PTO REPORTS TO: Executive Leadership Role Overview This senior operations leader is responsible for directing a large-scale catering and events business, overseeing everything from strategic planning to flawless on-site execution. The role combines operational leadership, financial ownership, client engagement, and team development to deliver high-touch, customized event experiences across corporate and private settings. The position requires deep expertise in upscale catering operations, scratch-based food programs, and high-volume event execution. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader capable of driving profitability, elevating service standards, and scaling the business to its next phase of growth. QUALIFICATIONS: Catering Operations & Event Execution • Direct all catering and event operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional execution from planning through breakdown, • Establish, implement, and refine operating standards to support quality control, workflow optimization, and service excellence, • Oversee complex event logistics, staffing plans, timelines, and on-site leadership for high-volume and high-profile events, • Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements, • Partner closely with culinary leadership, event teams, and external vendors to coordinate all production and service elements Client Experience & Relationship Management • Serve as the senior client liaison, guiding customers through customized event solutions tailored to their specific needs, • Build long-term client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and service recovery when needed, • Ensure every event reflects a premium experience and reinforces the organization’s reputation for excellence Financial Oversight & Business Performance • Own full profit and loss responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and food cost control, • Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to improve margins, productivity, and overall profitability, • Manage inventory controls, purchasing practices, and vendor negotiations to support cost efficiency and quality standards Team Leadership & Culture • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing catering and events team, • Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement, • Lead by example, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to elevate team capability and engagement, • Facilitate regular meetings to align priorities, reinforce standards, and drive results Growth, Sales & Strategic Support • Partner with sales and marketing teams to expand catering revenue and identify new business opportunities, • Contribute to proposal development, pricing strategies, and client presentations as needed, • Support long-term growth initiatives through operational insight, capacity planning, and service innovation QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years of senior management experience in catering, foodservice, or event operations, • Experience delivering upscale catering for corporate and/or private events, including fully customized offerings and scratch-based culinary programs, • Experience managing high-volume events (150–200+ guests), • Total P&L ownership ability, plus labor planning, scheduling, inventory, and food cost management, • Executive-level leadership: must communicate effectively at a high-level with upscale bearing, situational leadership and conflict management skills, • Strong food and beverage knowledge, • Technology fluency with catering and event management platforms, • PREFERRED: Formal education in hospitality, business, or a related field, • ServSafe certification required; responsible alcohol service certification preferred EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Company DescriptionPatrice and Associates is a recruiting and consulting firm specializing in Executive Search, dedicated to helping organizations achieve their strategic objectives in talent acquisition through comprehensive project consulting.Patrice and Associates is a recruiting and consulting firm specializing in Executive Search, dedicated to helping organizations achieve their strategic objectives in talent acquisition through comprehensive project consulting.
