Job DescriptionSenior Accountant Industry: Healthcare Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the healthcare industry to join a well known healthcare organization's finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including prepaid expenses, • Support healthcare-specific accounting needs such as revenue recognition, cost reporting, and compliance requirements, • Assist with external audits, internal audits, and regulatory reporting, • Analyze financial data and investigate variances, providing clear explanations and recommendations, • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and healthcare regulatory standards, • Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives, • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within accounting operationsRequired Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with an Accounting concentration, • Minimum of 5 years of GAAP accounting experience, • Healthcare industry accounting experience is required, • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting, • Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors, • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ORACLE highly preferred, • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications, • Experience with multi-entity or multi-location healthcare organizations, • Familiarity with revenue recognition and healthcare reimbursement modelsWhy Join, • Opportunity to work with a growing healthcare organization- upward career mobility, • Collaborative and supportive finance team, • Competitive compensation and benefits, • Flexible/generous work arrangementsPay Details: $70,000.00 to $78,000.00 per year Search managed by: Holland Hunt Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
