Job DescriptionJob Title: Skid Assembler Job Description The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units, testing and calibrating parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. This role requires the use of hand tools and power tools such as wrenches, pliers, drills, and impacts to assemble parts based on provided drawings or blueprints. Assemblers will work independently at times and collaboratively with other assemblers as needed. Additionally, they will utilize a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to products prior to shipping and adhere to workplace safety protocols including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification. Responsibilities • Assemble fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units., • Test and calibrate parts to ensure they meet product specifications and tolerances., • Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform assembly tasks., • Read and interpret blueprints or schematics accurately., • Apply shrink wrap material using a propane hand torch for product shipping., • 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics., • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools., • Experience in skid assembly is a plus. Work Environment This role operates within a production environment that involves exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and other potential hazards. Assemblers are required to frequently lift and move objects weighing between 10 to 50 pounds. Adherence to safety protocols is mandatory at all times. The position is on the first shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
