Job Description SUMMARY The General Foreman must have a strong background in all aspects of oversight, reporting and planning/scheduling of personnel in the fabrication of ASME Sec VIII, Div 1 vessels, structural steel and process piping as well as modules containing those items plus miscellaneous equipment, instrumentation and electrical. This person will oversee the daily operations of the shop including the planning, assigning and execution of work by the contract craft personnel (welders, fitters, and helpers). They will guide all fabrication to the contract requirements including current code requirements and client specifications while maintaining Merichem’s standards of Quality and will execute each project plan within the allotted time and budgeted cost. They are responsible for tracking and reporting the shop’s progress against the schedule and budget. This candidate must be competent at interpreting P&ID’s, ASME equipment and modular fabrication drawings and details including piping isometric drawings and 3D Models.
