Responsibilities Related Midwest, through its vertically integrated general contracting entity, LR Contracting, is seeking an experienced construction professional to lead and manage all aspects of project delivery for large, complex construction projects or portfolios of smaller projects, including both new construction and rehabilitation or preservation work. Successful candidates must possess comprehensive knowledge of the construction process, including pre-development, planning, estimating, scheduling, logistics, cost control, financial reporting, contract administration, and construction operations. The role also requires strong leadership to engage, direct, and motivate project teams, mentor staff, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture where individuals are respected and supported in delivering successful projects. Responsibilities • Lead and manage all phases of construction project delivery from pre-development through project closeout for large, complex projects or portfolios of smaller projects., • Plan, organize, and direct project activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements., • Collaborate with owners, project stakeholders, architects, engineers, consultants, and regulatory agencies to support project planning, design coordination, and successful execution., • Oversee the development and review of project budgets, schedules, logistics plans, and procurement strategies in collaboration with the preconstruction and field operations teams to support efficient project delivery., • Coordinate with the preconstruction and field operations teams on estimating, subcontractor procurement, and contract negotiations, including bid review, scope coordination, and award recommendations., • Provide guidance to project teams in the preparation of bid documentation to minimize scope gaps, conflicts, and risks during procurement and construction., • Monitor project costs, commitments, and forecasts; manage project contingency and evaluate change orders, to maintain overall financial performance., • Administer owner contracts and trade subcontracts, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements., • Coordinate closely with superintendents and field leadership to align construction operations with project schedules, logistic plans, quality standards, and safety requirements., • Lead project meetings, maintain clear communication among project stakeholders, and resolve technical, operational, and coordination issues., • Prepare and present regular project status updates and financial reports to senior leadership., • Mentor and support project managers and project staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture., • Ensure project compliance with applicable community participation, small business utilization, and workforce development requirements, including Section 3 business and hiring provisions where applicable., • Manage special projects as required. Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Anticipated base salary range: $142,000 - $187,000 Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors. Qualifications • Minimum of 10 years’ construction field experience with a focus on new construction and/or rehab of mid/high rise building types. Heavy site-work experience is a plus., • Self motivated and results oriented decision maker., • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in writing and verbally., • Significant knowledge of architectural, structural, civil and MEP systems., • Extensive construction/field experience with a minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience., • Well-developed project management skills., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to work effectively with project stakeholders, trade unions, community representatives, tenants and property management personnel., • Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering + Management, Architecture, other related fields or trade experience., • Previous experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Building Connected, Plan Grid, Textura, eBuilder, Microsoft Suite or similar platforms strongly preferred.
