Job DescriptionJob Title: Quality Technician Job Description The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence by maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of products, processes, and documentation. This position involves performing hands-on inspection activities, conducting audits, analyzing nonconformance and process data, and managing essential quality records, including calibration, documentation control, and Product Change Notifications. The Quality Technician collaborates with various departments to resolve quality issues, enhance workflow efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities • Record, validate, and analyze accurate inspection findings, quality data, and reports., • Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformances, and potential quality risks., • Analyze quality and process data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for continuous improvement., • Complete detailed quality reports and maintain performance records for audits and traceability requirements., • Schedule, perform, and document calibration of all measurement and inspection devices., • Manage the Hardware List, ensuring hard copy binders are accurate, current, and properly posted at weight stations., • Record and initiate Product Change Notifications, including coordinating and documenting customer notifications., • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback within the CRM system., • Provide exceptional service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving quality-related issues via virtual communication channels., • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Experience, Purchasing, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and implement best practices., • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process enhancements to improve quality, efficiency, and compliance., • Escalate complex or unresolved quality issues to management when appropriate., • Provide guidance, training, and support to other quality team members as needed.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred., • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Quality role or related warehouse experience involving inspections, audits, nonconformances, or process compliance., • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and departments., • Enthusiasm for helping others and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service., • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to resolve issues., • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment., • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)., • Experience using an ERP system in a business environment., • Familiarity with CRM tools for tracking customer or quality-related activities preferred., • Minimum of 6 months of experience using measurement devices, including calipers and weigh scales., • Minimum of 6 months of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications., • Understanding of quality control principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Associate degree or technical training in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred., • Experience in a business environment using ERP systems and CRM tools.Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a climate-controlled, well-lit, and organized facility operating from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.14 - $21.77/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
