This position will require the use of computers, CAD programs, basic hand tools, and measurement instruments., • Program, setup and operate a Laser or Punch CNC preferably AMADA or TRUMPF, • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, • Understanding of limitations and capabilities of punch press machines regarding tooling capabilities, such as clearance dies, countersinks, taps, etc., • Experience in NC coding with capability to edit to job requirements, • Communicate with production leads on meeting demands and following schedules, • Inspect production parts for defects and meets quality standards, • Perform routine maintenance on machinery, • Maintain work area and ensure a clean, safe work environment, • Work with Quality, Environmental, H&S employees to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality, • 2 years minimum experience in programming and setup?, • Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions, • Knowledge of sheet metal and punch assembly tooling, • Ability to use basic measurement instruments to verify components meet requirements, • Ability to communicate verbally, • Excellent time management skills, • Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs, Stand and Bend frequently without issue, • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled production environment

Production Assistant | $50-55k Who will work well with us: • The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate and interested in the arts/larger creative arena or is eager to learn. Previous experience and a background within the commercial art world is required., • Workshop creative solutions for fabricating artworks and exhibition materials with the production team as a whole., • Research and source materials, vendors, and processes for gallery artists., • Provide support with all stages of planning, budgeting, and implementation of select exhibitions at David Zwirner., • Update and manage various departmental organizational calendars, spreadsheets as projects come in., • Generate technical 2D & 3D drawings to illustrate installation processes for artworks and clarify fabrication specifications for vendors., • Designs client-friendly informational documents, installation manuals and/or maintenance instructions for select artworks, as well as exhibition maps, floorplans and various other visual tools to assist sales, as needed. Organize, edit and upload condition files when needed., • Assemble physical and digital exhibition models, maquettes and mock-ups., • Interpret and manipulate architectural, technical drawings, etc., • Assist in the production and preparation of vinyl and exhibition signage for gallery exhibitions, as needed., • Collect and organize information for editioned artworks and draft NYACAL forms., • The ideal candidate should be self-driven and curious with a passion for art and creative problem-solving., • Bachelors or Masters in Fine Art, Visual Studies, Architecture or Design preferred., • Proficiency with: Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator and Indesign required., • Working knowledge of Sketchup, Rhino or CAD programs preferred., • David Zwirner has pioneered initiatives dedicated to the gallery's long-standing commitment to kaleidoscopic storytelling, including: David Zwirner Online, David Zwirner Books, Dialogues, Utopia Editions, Consignments, Program., • Premier Access - to private on-site and off-site events, such as exhibition previews, book signings, talks, and walkthroughs with gallery artists and estate members, and external curators and scholars., • Staff-driven projects and fundraising initiatives.
