Job Description Position is located in the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota. Must be in person for Job, no remote work is available. Must have Prior Healthcare Industry Marketing experience to be considered for position. POSITION SUMMARY: As the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, you will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing and communication initiatives that strengthen the brand, promote our reputation, and advance our mission. This role requires not only a proactive, strategic mindset but also a collaborative spirit - someone who values input, seeks feedback, and builds authentic partnerships across the organization, especially with our physicians and clinical leaders. A critical aspect of this role is shaping the organization’s executive voice: you will guide the creation of leadership communications, financial report summaries, and the annual written strategic plan, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational priorities. You will also serve as the primary media spokesperson, crafting and delivering key messages that position our organization as a trusted leader in healthcare. Working together with executives, providers, staff, and community partners, you will ensure that marketing strategies align with organizational priorities while fostering trust and connection. Your responsibilities include: • Overseeing all marketing and public relations efforts, including digital, traditional (radio, television, print), and social media campaigns, ensuring consistency and meaningful engagement., • Developing compelling, high-quality content across multiple platforms to enhance brand visibility and strengthen public awareness., • Guiding the development of executive communications, including CEO messages, system-wide emails, financial report summaries, and written strategic plans., • Providing direction to the marketing team on creative design and development, ensuring alignment with our brand voice and standards across events, campaigns, and collateral (e.g., awareness campaigns, event look-and-feel, promotional materials, apparel)., • Closely collaborating with the Director of Foundation and Community Engagement on public initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and community events to ensure a unified and impactful presence., • Analyzing market trends and campaign performance to refine strategies and optimize effectiveness., • Leading, mentoring, and empowering a high-performing team in a culture of openness, collaboration, and professional growth. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (master’s preferred). · Proven leadership experience in marketing, public relations, or communications, ideally within healthcare or a mission-driven organization. · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to craft executive-level communications and serve as a media spokesperson. · Strong track record of collaborating with physicians, executives, and community partners to achieve shared goals. · Experience guiding creative teams to develop impactful campaigns, events, and brand assets across digital, print, and social media. · Ability to analyze market trends and campaign performance, using insights to refine strategies. · Skilled in balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment. · Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team. License/Certificates: · Public Relations certification is a plus Special Skills and Aptitudes: · Deep understanding of marketing strategy and execution, including social media, proactive communications, public relations, and targeted campaigns that build brand recognition and loyalty. · Proven ability to develop and manage departmental budgets strategically and responsibly. · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, executive messaging, and translating complex issues into clear, actionable communications. Skilled at listening and engaging effectively across diverse settings and audiences inside and outside the organization. · Experience guiding the creation of materials and publications, ensuring a strong, consistent presence across all platforms including social media and digital. · Skilled in analyzing and reporting on KPIs, ROI, and campaign performance to inform strategic decisions and strengthen brand impact. · Expertise in designing effective digital marketing programs, optimizing websites for SEO authority and lead generation, and ensuring a seamless, patient-friendly online experience. · Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution as needed. · Strong knowledge of healthcare market trends and developments. · Demonstrated ability to increase awareness and revenue through agile, market-responsive strategies, including the launch of new products and services. · Collaborative leadership style, serving as a positive, contributing member of a high-performing leadership team. · Strong interpersonal skills with proven success in building relationships with physicians, colleagues, community partners, and media representatives. · Experienced in recruiting, developing, and coaching high-performing teams, including internal staff and third-party resources; models a growth mindset and fosters professional growth. · Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, and address competing demands for limited resources. · Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. · Skilled in influencing and directing non-dedicated teams through persuasion and collaboration. · Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity. · Demonstrated success writing press releases, making presentations, and negotiating with media providers. · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related platforms. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES · Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Marketing and Public Relations department, including organizational design, hiring, onboarding, team development, and performance management. · Develop and manage the departmental budget strategically, ensuring responsible allocation of resources to maximize impact. · Design and execute comprehensive marketing, communications, public relations, and event strategies - both internal and external - that align with our mission, vision, and strategic priorities. · Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, new market segments, and emerging trends; translate insights into targeted campaigns and educational initiatives. · Direct the creation and management of digital platforms and content, including website, social media, blogs, and video. Ensure CRMC’s digital presence reflects innovation, professionalism, and a positive patient experience. · Oversee demand generation and campaign performance, leveraging analytics (e.g., Patient Satisfaction, Google Analytics, SEO/SEM tools, social media insights) to measure outcomes and optimize effectiveness. · Ensure consistent brand identity across all print and electronic communications, including advertising, signage, publications, forms, collateral, and digital assets. · Guide executive and organizational communications, including CEO messages, leadership updates, strategic plan materials, and key public reports. · Serve as executive media representative, building strong media relationships, proactively generating positive coverage, and responding to inquiries. · Collaborate with senior executives and physicians to position us as a thought leader and best practice provider in healthcare, partner with the Director of Foundation and Community Engagement on public initiatives and community events. · Lead the development of creative campaigns and educational content across multiple formats (video, digital, print, events) to build awareness of services and initiatives. · Oversee community relations efforts, including sponsorships, donations, volunteer programs, and special events, ensuring recognition aligns with our mission and enhances its community reputation. · Ensure compliance with regulatory and community reporting requirements, including Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and community benefit reporting. · Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously innovate marketing strategies and optimize resources. · Travel to regional locations as needed to support campaigns, events, and community relations activities.
