Job Description About The Role: Flowers Communications Group is seeking an Account Director to lead a high-profile, account-specific engagement within our integrated marketing and communications portfolio. This is a leadership role requiring a strategic, client-facing operator who can seamlessly guide complex, multi-disciplinary programs that influence public perception, engage key stakeholders, and drive measurable business outcomes. We are entering a critical phase of client growth and need a seasoned leader who can ramp quickly, provide senior-level counsel, and ensure alignment across strategy, execution, and performance. You will serve as the primary day-to-day client lead, responsible for overseeing integrated workstreams, aligning cross-functional teams, and delivering excellence across all aspects of the business. What You’ll Do: Client Leadership & Strategic Counsel • Client Leadership & Strategic Partnership, • Serve as the senior day-to-day lead and trusted advisor to the client, • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, • Translate business objectives into integrated marketing and communications strategies, • Lead client meetings, status updates, and strategic planning sessions, • Provide proactive counsel on reputation, stakeholder engagement, and audience strategy Integrated Strategy & Execution • Oversee the development and execution of integrated campaigns across multiple channels, • Ensure alignment across messaging, audience targeting, and channel strategy, • Guide culturally relevant, audience-first approaches that resonate with diverse communities, • Lead multi-market or community-based initiatives with precision and consistency Account & Portfolio Growth Leadership • Develop and lead account growth plans aligned to client business objectives and agency priorities, • Oversee multiple client accounts within the portfolio, ensuring consistent quality and performance, • Drive organic growth through strategic upselling, cross-functional integration, and opportunity identification, • Lead development of portfolio revenue tracking reports, ensuring visibility into performance, pacing, and growth opportunities Team Leadership & Development • Manage and mentor a team of account managers and cross-functional contributors, • Develop and implement staff development plans, supporting skill growth, performance, and career progression, • Establish clear workflows, roles, and accountability across teams, • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team spanning account, communications, media, and specialty partners, • Ensure seamless coordination across internal teams and external partners, • Establish clear workflows, roles, and accountability, • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment Operational & Financial Oversight • Own account performance, including scope management, resourcing, and profitability, • Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking across workstreams, • Identify risks and proactively implement solutions to ensure delivery success, • Ensure all work is delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality Insights, Measurement & Optimization Define KPIs and success metrics aligned to client objectives Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations Optimize campaigns based on performance and audience insights Deliver clear, compelling reporting that demonstrates impact Qualifications: Experience & Expertise • 7+ years of experience in integrated marketing, communications, or agency environments, • Proven experience leading complex, multi-channel accounts with significant budgets, • Strong background in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, • Experience working across diverse and multicultural audiences, • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and external partners Leadership & Competencies • Business & Growth Leadership: Demonstrates the ability to grow and expand client relationships by identifying opportunities, developing strategic plans, and delivering measurable business impact, • Team Leadership & Development: Leads, mentors, and develops high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth, • Financial & Business Acumen: Strong understanding of account financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue tracking;
