Job Description Position Summary The Maintenance & Reliability Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating corrective maintenance (CM), preventive maintenance (PM), and continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance. This role supports production goals by minimizing downtime, improving equipment efficiency, and maintaining high standards of product quality and food safety. The Planner works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions. This position also supports new equipment installations and ensures all maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor and Production teams to determine, prioritize, and schedule all corrective and preventive maintenance work orders, • Plan and schedule all preventive (PM), predictive, and corrective maintenance activities using CMMS, • Manage and support maintenance improvement projects, including upgrades to parts, equipment, and processes, • Utilize CMMS for work order scheduling, inventory transactions, and parts data management, • Analyze equipment performance and develop technical PM programs and maintenance procedures, • Organize labor, parts, materials, and resources to ensure work orders are executed efficiently and on time, • Develop maintenance work instructions using manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics, • Ensure maintenance technicians have the tools, parts, and resources needed to complete work orders, • Manage the storeroom, including identifying spare parts needs and maintaining accurate inventory levels, • Partner with Maintenance Supervisor and technicians to determine required parts and inventory levels, • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, requisitions, and invoices, • Maintain accurate records and generate reports on maintenance KPIs and performance metrics, • Communicate with vendors regarding supplies, services, and planned maintenance work, • Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and ensure proper labeling and storage of spare parts, • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and food safety (GMP) requirements, • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues, • Assist with new equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities, • Associate’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience, • Maintenance certification preferred, • Technical background in Electromechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance, • Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance and machinery experience in a manufacturing environment, • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP, M3 System, or similar), • Understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance and reliability principles, • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the facility, • Must be able to climb ladders, and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and work in confined or awkward spaces, • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and conditions Food Safety Responsibilities • Follow all company food safety policies, GMPs, and regulatory requirements, • Maintain proper hygiene and wear required PPE at all times, • Prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper handling and storage of materials, • Ensure equipment and work areas are clean and sanitized, • Report any food safety or quality concerns immediately, • Participate in audits and support corrective actions, • Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and traceability Core Benefits • Basic Life Insurance, • Short-Term Disability Coverage, • Long-Term Disability Coverage, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Leave Programs, • Paid Holidays Voluntary Benefits • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Life Insurance, • Pet Insurance, • 401(k) with Company Match, • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage, • Accident Insurance, • Critical Illness Coverage, • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays, • Paid Leave Programs, • Wellness Programs, • Gym Membership Job Type: • Full-time Pay: • $24.00 to 28.00 pay range Schedule: • 1st shift- Day shift, • Monday to Friday, • Weekends (as needed)Company DescriptionFull Service Food Manufacturing Element Food Solutions is a dry blend products supplier with diversified, better-for-you ingredients and a packaging solutions provider for the food industry.
