Job DescriptionDescription: Job Summary: The Medical Receptionist is responsible for interacting with patients in a healthcare setting and managing administrative tasks for the clinical team. As the initial point of contact for patients, they are crucial in creating a positive experience and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic. This role reports directly to the Regional Office Supervisor. Requirements: Job Responsibilities: • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, • Greet patients and visitors in a timely, friendly and professional manner; provide exceptional customer service, • Verify patient demographics and applicable insurance benefits; maintain accurate electronic patient records, • Assist patients with check-in process, • Communicate updates to patients timely, • Coordinate with clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic, • Represent the clinic in a friendly, professional manner; treat all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner, • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable with all necessary materials, • Answer incoming calls in a timely, professional manner; provide general information to callers, • Participate in team activities, team meetings and professional development activities, • Demonstrate and embody TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track’s mission and core values, • Comply with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines regarding patient confidentiality as well as follow all principles of medical ethics, • Complete required training as assigned by the organization, • Strong service focus with an ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, collaboration and partnerships, as well as ensuring positive patient, team member and provider experiences, • Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, composure, and professional development; self-motivated and self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision, • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of individuals, • Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and in sometimes emotionally challenging situations, • Ability to cross train between front office and mid office responsibilities as needed to ensure a high functioning clinic, • Effectively act as a liaison between patients and clinical team, • High School Diploma or equivalent, • Minimum 1 year of experience as receptionist, customer service representative or similar client facing position, • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred, • Active CPR/BLS certification,?preferred, • This position operates on-site in a professional medical environment, • Consistent use of technology platforms throughout shift to complete assigned work tasks, • Typical Work Schedule: 40-hour work week Sunday through Saturday with 3 x 12-hour shifts and 1x 6-hour shift within designated Region, • Every other weekend shift, Saturday and Sunday, required, • Reliable transportation required, • Mileage reimbursement available for eligible business travel, • May require traveling to clinics outside assigned Region during training As part of the hiring process a background check and drug screen will need to be successfully completed.
