The Front Office Medical Receptionist is the initial point of contact for each patient that visits the clinic. The Front Office Medical Receptionist undertakes all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk of our main entrance of the clinic. Requirements: Job Responsibilities: β’ Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner and demonstrate exceptional customer service and patient care, β’ Present a patient, courteous, neat, and approachable demeanor, β’ Provide prompt communication and updates to patients, β’ Assist patients with completing required patient forms, β’ Verify patient demographics and insurance benefits, β’ Perform billing and bookkeeping functions including collecting co-pays and balancing daily transactions, β’ Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, β’ Promptly answer phone calls in a professional manner following guidelines provided, β’ Assist team members as needed and requested, β’ Present a positive and team orientated attitude, β’ Effectively act as a liaison between patients and providers, β’ Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced high-volume environment, β’ Understand order of urgency and time management, β’ Ability to follow established organizational office routines and policies, β’ Understand and follow the ethics of confidentiality and HIPAA laws, β’ Mentally alert and focused to engage with team and patientsβ needs, β’ Complete required training as assigned by the organization, β’ Complete other duties as assigned, β’ Proficient with use of technology, β’ Knowledge working with healthcare platforms to accomplish work tasks, β’ General knowledge of medical terminology, β’ Understanding ethics of patient confidentiality and HIPAA laws, β’ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization, β’ Outstanding customer service focus, β’ Attentive to the clinic environment and patients, β’ Effective problem-solving skills, β’ Ability to multitask and pivot attention during high volume, β’ This position has no supervisory responsibility, β’ High School Diploma or equivalent, required, β’ Minimum of 1+ years of proven experience as receptionist, customer service representative or relevant position, required, β’ Working knowledge of medical terminology, strongly preferred, β’ Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems i.e. (eClinicalWorks) or EPIC, strongly preferred, β’ This position operates on-site in a professional medical office environment, β’ This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, β’ Sedentary for extended periods of time, β’ Ability to move supplies and office equipment (up to 20 pds), β’ Frequent use of working on a computer to complete assigned work tasks, β’ Typical Work Schedule: 40-hour work week Sunday through Saturday with 3 x 12-hour shifts and 1x 6-hour shift, β’ Every other weekend shift, Saturday and Sunday, required, β’ Overtime hour availability based on patient volume and clinic needs, β’ Regional staffing requires travel within the region.
