Overview We are seeking a highly creative Marketing Designer (90% Senior Graphic Designer + 10% Marketing Coordinator duties) with strong visual communication skills to join our multi-brand marketing team and support our growing B2B marketing efforts across print, digital, sales, and tradeshow channels. This hands-on production role is ideal for an artistic, detail-oriented designer with strong organization skills and experience creating assets that leverage outstanding visual design to drive engagement and sales across industrial industries. You’ll work closely with the marketing team to design and deliver high-quality collateral, campaign assets, and branded content that align with business goals and brand guidelines. Duties will include ownership of physical material asset handling in Houston, including assessing, documenting, packing, shipping, and/or receiving tradeshow materials at our Houston marketing hub and/or Houston-based marketing contractors (such as our primary swag supplier and large booth tradeshow management company). This is the only element of the role that is NOT remote work. No in-office requirement for routine tasks. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Production: • Design sales and marketing materials such as product flyers, brochures, catalogs, line cards, email graphics and eBlasts, newsletters and print ads with strong attention to hierarchy, layout, and detailed design elements., • Build, update, and/or redesign multi-page catalogs (up to ~500 pages) using InDesign and leveraging automation tools such as GREP, styles, Data Merge (CSV imports), and/or InCopy linking. Manage assets and coordinate proofing with knowledgeable team members., • Support design needs for marketing campaigns including trade shows, events, product launches, inhouse video production, and promotions., • Create social media graphics, digital ad assets, and web-based graphics., • Design, create and/or edit existing product specification sheets, infographics, and B2B presentation materials., • Assist with resource creation for sales teams and execute specialty design projects with guidance from director of marketing:, • Create structured templates for Word and PowerPoint to be used by sales teams and executive stakeholders;, • Website landing page wireframes;, • Icon and logo design;, • Manipulation and/or creation of custom vector illustrations (infographics, callouts, diagrams, charts, and/or character-based scenes., • Design within (and help build) brand guidelines, while contributing creative solutions to evolve the brands visually., • Understand and distinguish between the visual communication styles of different audiences our marketing team creates material for (end users versus B2B versus corporate) and adjust layout / styling within brands to accommodate each (with guidance from marketing team and/or brand documentation).Marketing & Campaign Support:, • Design for multi-channel marketing campaigns with platform-specific asset variations., • Design email graphics and build marketing emails using Klaviyo (similar interface to MailChimp)., • Design image-based social media posts under the direction of our social media content specialist and/or director of marketing., • Assist social media content specialist with post scheduling (using Hubspot, will train) for additional brands and as backup while they are traveling to collect new footage., • Optimize files for fast-loading, high-impact use across web, email, and digital ads., • Conduct creative visual research and generate moodboards based on thematic- and goal-oriented directives., • Own content follow-through and accuracy, including technical product details, grammar, spelling, case-sensitivity, and overall tone of messaging with guidance from team members.Brand Asset & File Management:, • Build and maintain asset libraries and templates across multiple brands., • Use strict file organization and naming conventions, cloud systems, and FTP tools to support efficient asset management., • Manage and update brand assets within platforms such as PIMs, DAMs, swag stores, and digital catalog systems.Communication & Execution:, • Collaborate with marketing, product and sales teams, and outside vendors to gather accurate information., • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders via professional written, digital meeting, and voice call interactions., • Proactively solve incomplete or unclear project requests by asking follow-up questions or validating content, either through marketing team or by reaching out directly to internal and external stakeholders., • Review and edit designs for alignment with project brief, brand guidelines, design hierarchy, and CTA effectiveness.Nature of Workday, • This is a remote role. It has no regular in-office requirements, but you will need to be able to regularly attend digital meetings and collaborative virtual discussions., • You will be expected to maintain a regular work schedule that allows at least 4 working hours’ overlap with the rest of the team (M–F, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central time)., • Day-to-day work will largely be independent and self-directed based on assigned tasks and “big picture” projects, but conducted under the guidance of the director of marketing., • Weekly digital team meetings and open-door leadership policies ensure on-demand access to fellow creatives and assistance with or clarification on assigned tasks., • We expect at least half your weekly work (on average) to be fast-paced, hands-on design production, with ideation, content validation, asset management, communication, and marketing support duties to make up the remainder of your work hours., • The mix of duties on any given day will vary significantly by season and over time; our marketing team is newly restructured and in the process of creating a lot of first-time material and significant redesigns. We’re also in the process of developing team documentation, so the right person for this role must be flexible and adaptive., • We anticipate <10% of duties for this role will require intermittent hands-on material asset handling in Houston, and this will not be on any regular schedule or frequency. Tasks may include:, • assessing, documenting, packing, shipping, and/or receiving tradeshow materials at our Houston marketing hub;, • reviewing paper options, Swag product options, and/or other marketing materials that require in-person attention;, • physical review of large tradeshow assets housed our assets management company., • This is the only element of the role that is NOT remote work. No in-office requirement for routine tasks.Skills & QualificationsRequired, • 3+ years of professional experience in high volume graphic design production & ideation, preferably in B2B or industrial sectors., • Strong portfolio showing multi-channel campaigns, product catalogs, flyers, ads, and digital content., • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, InCopy, Acrobat)., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive) and general business computer competency such as familiarity with keyboard shortcuts and other time-saving techniques., • Expert ability to automate styling for large page counts through built-in program features for InDesign (styles, Greps, Data Merge)., • Advanced design, typesetting, print production, layout, and vector-level illustration and/or manipulation (i.e. logos, diagrams, icons)., • Expert creative styling and brand differentiation methodologies in material production., • Intermediate photo editing and manipulation techniques, ability to learn new tools and maintain awareness of marketing design best practices., • Ability to use email building features in marketing platforms like Klaviyo., • Knowledge of print production standards and able to precisely adhere to vendor specs., • Ability to interpret and organize technical product information into clear, effective visuals., • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with strong time management, organizational and communication skills., • Comfortable managing tasks through Trello, Teams, email, and cloud storage systems., • Able to independently complete work in a timely manner and adhere to project deadlines while adhering to precise requirements and details., • Able to learn and thrive in a remote-only work environment., • Willing to learn about our products and services. We will train, but expect basic understanding of our industry within 1 year of hire., • Readily maintain a pleasant demeanor and treat all team members with respect, objectivity, honesty, and empathy., • Must have access to reliable transportation and be within driving distance of Houston to complete intermittent hands-on marketing materials handling. Scheduling will be as-needed and scheduling for in-town trips will be flexible / with advance notice. This is a mostly seasonal task, usually summer and early fall, and should not be needed more than one to two instances per month on average., • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship., • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.Preferred but not required, • Knowledge of lifting and rigging products and services (we are able to provide education material and access to experts for learning our industry)., • Familiarity with industrial businesses that require heavy lifting, working at height, and/or vehicle recovery (this is our customer base)., • Exposure to UI/UX design, wireframing., • Knowledge of basic marketing and advertising principles.
