Job Description Job Title: CNC Machining Supervisor Job Description Lead and support a team of machining personnel in a modern structural manufacturing environment by coordinating daily CNC operations, developing and optimizing CNC programs with Gibbscam, and overseeing robotic and manual machining processes to ensure high-quality, efficient, and safe production. Responsibilities • Coordinate, assign, and prioritize daily work for machining personnel based on production schedules and work orders., • Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs using Gibbscam for high-volume production runs., • Modify and adapt existing CNC programs to accommodate different machines, tooling, and changing production requirements., • Perform machine setups, prove-outs, and first-article inspections to validate new or revised CNC programs., • Program, set up, and oversee CNC-controlled robotic arm operations to support automated machining processes., • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine part dimensions, tolerances, cutting speeds, feeds, and machining strategies., • Conduct in-process quality checks alongside machine operators and make real-time manual program adjustments as needed., • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, robotic, and process issues promptly to minimize downtime and scrap., • Maintain and manage the tooling database, ensuring tooling availability, proper documentation, and readiness for production., • Monitor material usage, tooling wear, and equipment condition to reduce waste and prevent damage., • Enforce safety standards, shop procedures, and good housekeeping practices throughout the machining area., • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a machining or manufacturing environment., • 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including milling setup and programming., • Proficiency with Gibbscam software for CNC programming., • Strong knowledge of CNC controls, including Fanuc control systems., • Hands-on experience with machining processes, including mill machining and manual machining., • Ability to interpret and work from engineered drawings and prints, including dimensions and tolerances., • Proficiency with measuring and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures., • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts., • Experience supporting robotic automation systems and CNC-controlled robotic arms., • Skillset in tool and die or precision machining environments., • Experience maintaining tooling databases and managing tooling readiness for production., • Familiarity with in-process inspection practices and first-article inspection procedures., • Comfort working in a high-volume production setting with a focus on efficiency and quality. Work Environment Work in a growing structural manufacturing facility that has recently completed building additions and renovations, creating an open, spacious, and modern environment. The shop uses CNC mills with Fanuc controls, Gibbscam programming, and CNC-controlled robotic arms to support both high-volume and complex machining work. Team members use overhead cranes, forklifts, and a full range of precision measuring tools as part of daily operations. The company provides full personal protective equipment, including advanced welding PPE such as a 3M PAPR welding hood, and maintains strict safety and housekeeping standards throughout the facility. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Little Canada, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
