Job: US Product Steward Department: Product Stewardship Location: Philadelphia or Pittsburgh Travel Involved: 10-15% Job Type: Full Time Description: The Product Steward position predominantly supports Braskem America, Inc. business in North America (NAM). This position is responsible for supporting the operational product stewardship and regulatory aspects of Braskem products. This role interfaces heavily with Commercial, Technical Service, Legal, Procurement, Product Development, and Process teams. Key Responsibilities Include: • Promote a Product Stewardship (PS) ethic and mindset within Braskem and externally with customers, • Manages day-to-day product stewardship/regulatory affairs activities to support Braskem customers in various markets and applications, • Write, update, and follow PS procedures., • Focal point for TSCA, including US Innovation centers, New Chemical Approval Process (NCAP), • Conduct reviews of Braskem products for global regulatory clearances, including food contact, • Provide solutions to meet product regulatory requirements, • Manage impacts on compliance documentation and communications related to changes in supplier regulatory information, regulations, or product formulation and process, • Participate in industry associations to monitor trends and impacts of new and changing regulationsRequirements:, • Minimum bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science, or related field, • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical area or sciences, and minimum 2 years of experience in the product stewardship/regulatory affairs area, • Personal commitment to Safety, Ethics, Compliance, and DEI, • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills; able to troubleshoot and problem-solve, • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and action-oriented, • Committed to continuous improvement and passionate about learning, • Able to drive projects and meet deadlines, • Able to research and understand regulations, with support from SMEs and Generative AI., • Able to independently seek out knowledge and resources to respond to customer regulatory requirements, • Experience working on global teams; project management skillsPreferred Skills, Education, and Experience:, • Experience with polymers and food contact compliance preferred., • Strong computer skills required; proficient with MS Office (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), including bulk manipulation of data.
