Job Description Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team for a 2nd shift position from 4 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, including Mills and occasionally supporting a small Boring Mill. Each day will bring new challenges as you create diverse parts for various automotive machines. Responsibilities • Operate CNC Machines on 2nd shift, including Mills and occasional support for a small Boring Mill., • Receive daily job assignments from the 2nd shift supervisor and execute them efficiently., • Run jobs with varying durations, from a few hours to several days, ensuring precision and quality., • Collaborate with the team to manage material requirements for daily tasks., • Work with Mazak mills, a Femco boring mill, and a Gilbert boring mill, along with multiple manual lathes and mills., • 5 years of experience in CNC machining on Mills., • 5 years of experience in CNC Machine Setup., • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation., • Experience in blueprint welding. Work Environment This position operates in a well-equipped facility with five Mazak mills, two boring mills, and multiple manual lathes and mills. The environment is collaborative, with a focus on precision and quality. The majority of the work involves handling mild steel, with occasional projects using aluminum, copper, brass, and different plastics. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
