This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage your team, maintain exceptional standards, and ensure smooth, professional service. You’ll also be involved in catering events, parent functions, and special school occasions, delivering food to the highest presentation and quality standards. \n\n Your responsibilities will include: \n\n\n\t • Leading, motivating, and developing your catering team\n\t, • Preparing and serving fresh, seasonal meals to a high standard\n\t, • Planning menus, managing stock, and controlling budgets\n\t, • Ensuring all food hygiene, safety, and compliance standards are met\n\t, • Building strong relationships with school clients, boarding staff, and stakeholders\n\t, • Overseeing the smooth running of service, from prep to finish\n\t, • Proven experience managing a professional or high-standard kitchen, ideally in independent schools or premium catering environments\n\t, • Ability to cook fresh, seasonal food at a consistently high standard\n\t, • Strong people management and team leadership skills\n\t, • Experience managing kitchen operations, stock, budgets, and compliance\n\t, • Excellent organisational and communication skills\n\t, • A proactive, hands-on approach with pride in maintaining exceptional standards\n\t, • Competitive salary \n\t, • Daytime hours, with some flexibility for events\n\t, • Free meals on shift\n\t, • Opportunities for ongoing training, development, and career progression\n\t, • Access to free culinary qualifications\n\t, • Staff discount scheme across 850+ retailers\n\t \n\n IFG are committed to the safeguarding of children and our employees share this commitment.
