Senior Management Accountant (6-Month FTC) | Manchester | Hybrid (3 days office) | £65,000 - £75,000 + 24 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, bonus and strong benefits package | Financial Services\n\nThe Company\n\nThis is a well-established UK-based financial services business supporting a large and diverse customer base through its credit and lending solutions. The finance function plays a key role in driving performance and supporting strategic growth, offering strong exposure to senior stakeholders.\n\nThe Role\n\nLead the preparation, governance and delivery of monthly management accounts for the financial services division\nProvide detailed analysis on performance vs prior period and budget, including clear commentary on key variances\nOversee weekly KPI reporting, analysing trends and presenting insights to senior stakeholders\nProduce high-quality reporting packs for monthly committee meetings, including presenting results\nBusiness partner with senior stakeholders across financial services, ensuring clear understanding of financial performance\nSupport regulatory reporting requirements, including FCA reporting\nTake ownership of balance sheet controls, identifying risks and ensuring robust reconciliation processes\nAct as a key contact for audit, including year-end and interim processes, and preparation of technical papers (including IFRS 9)\nDrive continuous improvement across reporting, processes and financial controls\nManage and develop a direct report, supporting their progression and performance \n\nAbout You\n\nQualified accountant (ACA preferred)\nStrong experience within financial services\nSolid understanding of IFRS 9 and expected credit loss (ECL) methodologies\nProven ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate insights to non-finance stakeholders\nStrong commercial awareness with high attention to detail\nAdvanced Excel skills, with SQL and Oracle experience beneficial\nConfident stakeholder manager, able to influence at senior level\nTrack record of improving processes and driving efficiencies within finance \n\nWhat's on Offer\n\n£65,000 - £75,000 base salary\n6-month fixed-term contract\nHybrid working (minimum 3 days in the office)\n24 days holiday + bank holidays\nAnnual bonus scheme\nPension contribution up to 8%\nPrivate medical insurance and life assurance\nClear opportunities for career progression within a growing business \n\nZachary Daniels and our client are both equal opportunity employers.
