About Us We are partnered with a dynamic construction firm specialising in planned maintenance, delivering high-quality service across public sector. As our client continues to grow, they are looking for a Bid Writer to join their Planned Maintenance team and help them win more work through compelling, compliant, and well-structured bid submissions. The Role As our Bid Writer, you will: • Support the Head of Bids in the end-to‐end bid process for planned maintenance tenders, including PQQs, ITTs, EOIs, and framework submissions., • Analyse tender documents to understand client requirements, evaluation criteria, and scoring mechanisms., • Research and gather input from multiple internal stakeholders (operations, technical, commercial) to inform bid content., • Write persuasive, clear, and compliant proposals, tailoring content to highlight our value, capability, and differentiated offering., • Maintain and develop our bid / proposal content library (case studies, boiler plate material, capability statements, etc.)., • Proofread, edit and quality control all bid documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and professionalism., • Work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment, keeping the bid process on track., • Assist with bid reviews, feedback debriefs, and continuous improvement of bid materials and processes. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have: • Proven experience in bid writing or proposal development, ideally within the construction or maintenance sectors., • Strong written communication skills, with an ability to simplify technical or complex information into clear, client-facing content., • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines., • Good understanding of public sector procurement / tendering process & frameworks., • Ability to collaborate across teams, gathering inputs from technical, commercial, and operations stakeholders., • Self-motivated, proactive, and with a mindset for continuous improvement.
