Water Hygiene Supervisor\nOverview\nWe are seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Supervisor to lead and support a team of engineers delivering Legionella control, monitoring, and remedial services across a varied client base.\nThis role is key to ensuring full compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580-1:2019, while maintaining high service standards across commercial, industrial, and residential contracts. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, playing a pivotal role in driving performance, quality, and client satisfaction.\nThe Role\nAs a Water Hygiene Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day operations of field-based engineers, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance requirements.\nYou will be responsible for supervising service delivery, supporting engineers on-site, managing workloads, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both technical knowledge and the ability to manage and develop a team.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Leadership & Supervision\n * Supervise and support a team of Water Hygiene Engineers across multiple sites\n * Allocate workloads, manage schedules, and ensure efficient service delivery\n * Provide on-site support, coaching, and technical guidance to engineers\n * Assist with onboarding and training of new staff, ensuring competency standards are met\n * Monitor performance and maintain high standards of work quality and compliance\nLegionella Control & Compliance\n * Oversee Legionella control regimes, ensuring works are completed in line with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580-1:2019\n * Conduct site audits, inspections, and quality checks on completed works\n * Support complex or high-risk sites, providing technical expertise where required\n * Ensure all compliance documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready\nWater Hygiene Services Oversight\n * Supervise delivery of services including tank cleaning, disinfection, chlorination, and TMV servicing\n * Ensure remedial works and maintenance activities are completed to a high standard\n * Support engineers with technical issues relating to system performance and compliance\nClient Liaison & Account Support\n * Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships\n * Provide technical advice, recommendations, and compliance updates\n * Attend client meetings where required, supporting contract delivery and performance reviews\n * Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery\nHealth & Safety\n * Promote and enforce all health & safety procedures and safe systems of work\n * Ensure all team members adhere to PPE requirements and site safety standards\n * Identify, report, and manage risks across sites\nRequirements\nEssential\nProven experience within water hygiene, Legionella control, or a related field\nPrevious experience in a supervisory or senior/lead engineer role\nStrong knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580-1:2019\nAbility to manage teams and coordinate workloads effectively\nFull UK driving licence\nStrong communication, leadership, and organisational skills\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality\nDesirable\nCity & Guilds or equivalent in Legionella Risk Assessment\nPlumbing background or relevant technical qualifications\nExperience managing contracts or client accounts\nKnowledge of water treatment processes (e.g. closed systems, dosing)\nUnderstanding of fire safety-related water systems\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer looking to step into a leadership role, or an existing supervisor seeking a new challenge within a growing and forward-thinking organisation
