Profile Requirements • Strong core consulting skills with experience as a Director in a consulting organisation, • Extensive and deep knowledge of insurance organisations and their value chains, business models, business processes, capabilities and technology solutions & vendors (across General Insurance, Commercial and Speciality, or Life and Pensions), • Experience working with clients to create business and technology strategies, solutions and delivery roadmaps, • Experience leading business and technology enabled transformation projects within Insurance., • Proven track record in project delivery, with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines., • Strong client and relationship network within the Insurance Industry, and experience developing and owning relationships across the market, • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, bringing teams together to achieve common goals in complex environments., • Extensive experience managing teams and mentoring talent, contributing to practice growth and capability building. Role Purpose The Mechanical Pipefitter will be responsible for the installation, modification, testing and commissioning support of mechanical pipework systems associated with data centre cooling and critical infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, Design Engineers and commissioning teams to deliver high-quality mechanical installations safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Installation of chilled water, condenser water, heating and low-temperature hot water pipework systems. Installation and modification of carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and plastic pipework systems. Installation of pipe supports, brackets, frameworks and containment systems. Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, isometrics and installation specifications. Fabrication, threading, grooving, welding preparation and assembly of pipework systems. Installation of pumps, valves, strainers, expansion vessels, heat exchangers and associated mechanical equipment. Pressure testing, flushing and leak testing of systems. Assisting commissioning teams during system start-up and witnessing activities. Ensuring all installations comply with project specifications, quality standards and health and safety requirements. Identifying and reporting installation challenges, technical issues and design discrepancies. Producing accurate site records, test documentation and progress updates. Working effectively alongside other mechanical, electrical and specialist subcontractors. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment at all times. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Mechanical Pipefitter within commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, data centre or critical infrastructure environments. Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations. Experience installing chilled water and cooling pipework systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience with screwed, grooved, welded and press-fit pipework systems. Good understanding of mechanical equipment installation. Knowledge of health and safety procedures and safe working practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Full UK driving licence.
