Job Role: RCA Building Surveyor Location: Field based – Hampshire/Sussex & Cambridgeshire/Nottingham areas Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday At Innovus, we are committed to delivering market leading solutions and professional services. Main Purpose of the role: As the RCA Building Surveyor, you will be supporting the management of sub-teams within the wider RCA environment, ensuring high standards of quality are maintained. Main Responsibilities: • Provide technical expertise and guidance on some of the more complex buildings within the client’s portfolio., • Assist with quality checking of reports prior to issue, and take responsibility for updating schedules and costings, using BCIS data or applying existing building knowledge., • Conduct Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCAs) in accordance with RICS guidelines., • Undertaking surveying activities and delivering projects that significantly contribute to the success of the team., • Imparting technical knowledge and experience across the team, that positively benefits our clients and customers alike., • Undertaking CPD in accordance with the requirements of your professional body, including receiving and delivering CPD within the surveying team., • Identifying potential business opportunities outside of core client and assisting the Surveying and Projects Manager in obtaining new business with external clients., • Linking with the core client major works team to ensure good communications between the major works team and the surveying team., • Carrying out any other duties in relation to the efficient operation of the team and assist the Surveying and Project Managers as required. Qualifications and Experience • RICS or MRICS qualified., • Demonstrable experience in building surveying or cost assessment, preferably including RCAs., • Substantial technical surveying experience in the Property Management environment with a wide range of building types., • Sound commercial understanding of a surveying ‘practice’ and ability to clearly articulate commercial performance with senior managers, • Experience and willingness to build relationships with the team to identify and drive improvement opportunities., • An in depth understanding of the H&S issues and regulations that apply to surveying, contractor management and project delivery., • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stake holders, at all levels within the business.
