Procurement Buyer Location: Fareham, Hampshire Salary: £25,000–£30,000 (DOE) + Benefits About the Role: Are you a detail-oriented procurement professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic supply chain environment? Our client, a trusted name in defence and engineering solutions, is seeking a proactive and organised Procurement Buyer to support their Sales & Operations Manager in delivering efficient procurement services. The Ideal Candidate: Experience: • Minimum 2 years’ buying/procurement experience, • Familiarity with MRP systems (OrderWise experience a plus), • Experience in supplier negotiation and invoice processing Skills: • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, • Proficient in MS Office, • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Qualifications: • CIPS Level 2 (or working towards), • GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics Key Responsibilities: • Raise and process RFQs/RFIs and purchase orders, • Negotiate pricing and ensure financial authority compliance, • Update MRP system with compliance and safety data, • Perform first-level invoice checks against POs, • Manage supplier relationships and chase late deliveries, • Maintain approved supplier lists and compliance documentation, • Liaise with internal teams including sales administration, • Answer and direct customer calls professionally Apply Now.
