Job Description Our client in Oakland is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to join their team on a full time basis in Oakland, CA. The Principal Technical Program Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from intake through delivery. This role partners closely with the CTO, IT team, managed service providers and business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned with organizational priorities, executed efficiently and delivered with high quality. The position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, compliance readiness and continuous improvement across the technology function. The salary range is $175,000 - $190,000 and is hybrid (4/1) in Oakland. RESPONSIBILITIES: * • Coordinate and drive technology initiatives, both organization-wide and departmental, from intake through completion., • Manage the intake and prioritization of technology initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and capacity., • Coordinate execution across the IT Coordinator, MSP (Endsight), CTO, vendors, and internal stakeholders without direct line management., • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery metrics., • Own compliance driven initiatives, including SOC 2 readiness, audit coordination, evidence collection, and remediation tracking., • Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and process improvement across departments., • Design and maintain technology performance metrics and reporting frameworks for IT functions and vendors; define KPIs and tracking methods with leadership., • Develop, manage, and track the IT budget, including forecasting, spend analysis, and variance reporting., • Proactively assess and manage technology, delivery, and compliance risks to prevent issues before they impact operations., • Partner with the CTO to translate future state infrastructure and security initiatives into executable programs., • Provide regular status reporting and executive briefings to ensure transparency and alignment., • Address delivery issues, resource constraints, and competing priorities as they arise., • Coordinate technical resources and vendor deliverables during active projects., • Support system rollouts, upgrades, integrations, and change management initiatives., • Establish and support quality assurance practices during system implementations, vendor transitions, and platform modernization efforts, including onboarding CyberDynatics and professionalizing internal systems such as Caretrack., • Align project execution with day-to-day IT operations in partnership with the IT Coordinator., • Maintain program documentation and audit artifacts to support governance and oversight., • Perform additional duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: * • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)., • 8+ years of leadership and hands-on experience in technical program management, IT project management, or enterprise technology delivery., • Experience working with managed service providers (MSPs), external vendors and internal technical teams., • Proven success managing complex, cross-functional programs in fast-paced environments., • Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, security, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2 or similar)., • Experience working with work management / project management software such as Asana or Monday.com, • Experience leading the planning, execution and delivery of technical projects leveraging AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift)., • Experience managing project planning, execution and delivery using tools such as Jira for task tracking and Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing., • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes without direct authority., • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control., • Excellent risk management, problem-solving and organizational skills., • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills., • Proficiency with Agile project management methodology and tools. Preferred Qualifications: * • Experience leading SOC 2 or similar compliance and audit initiatives., • Background in software development or close collaboration with engineering teams, with the ability to understand and manage development workflows., • Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks., • Experience turning metrics into compelling visual dashboards in Tableau, • Experience with M&A and company expansion. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * • May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so., • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time., • Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently, • Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
