About the Position: The Licensing Clinical Support Supervisor oversees the foster care licensing process, including Therapeutic Foster Care, ensuring compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and foster care standards. This role involves managing a team of licensing and support team members, facilitating training and support for foster parents, and maintaining strong relationships with community stakeholders. What You'll Do: • Lead and supervise the foster care licensing process, including home studies, interviews, background checks, and safety inspections., • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing foster care licensing and therapeutic foster homes., • Provide guidance, training, and support to foster parents, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to care for children in the foster system., • Assist foster parents in providing the foster child(ren) with opportunities for the child to effectively manage their behaviors., • Assist with crisis management and de-escalation techniques as needed., • Utilizes a family systems approach to planning, coordinating and implementing services while being cognizant of cultural, ethnic and environmental differences., • Monitor and manage a caseload of families, including in-home respite care and ongoing support services., • Support staff and families during investigations and address concerns related to licensed foster homes, implementing corrective actions as needed. Able to communicate with others the mission, vision, and philosophy of our organization., • Assist with agency policy creation, revision, and implementation in alignment with CARF accreditation., • Develop and deliver training programs for foster families, focusing on licensing, care standards, and managing foster care challenges., • Supervise and mentor licensing and support staff, ensuring quality and timely completion of tasks., • Maintain detailed, accurate records of licensing activities, home visits, certifications, and family support services., • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Management Team and team members to improve licensing procedures and operational efficiency., • Safeguard client and foster parent confidentiality in accordance with state laws and agency policies., • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities., • Plans for potential therapeutic and non-therapeutic foster parents, including coordinating and participating in community outreach events., • Lead, mentor, and provide day-to-day supervision to team., • Work with the Executive Director and Management Team to assign caseloads, monitor work progress, and evaluate performance., • Conduct regular team meetings to review goals, address challenges, and promote team collaboration., • Oversee licensing processes and administration., • Provide guidance and oversight on complex or challenging foster home applications or renewals., • Participates in the agencys after-hours on-call phone rotation to provide guidance and support for urgent foster care licensing or placement needs. What You Bring: • At least two years of previous experience in foster care, child welfare, or social services, with at least 1, • Previous training and/or experience in the field of behavioral science., • Knowledge of foster care licensing processes., • A bachelors degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field., • A strong understanding of foster care regulations, child welfare systems, and licensing requirements., • CPR, 1st Aid, and De-escalation certified., • The ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen., • A valid drivers license and reliable transportation for travel to foster homes., • Flexibility for evening, weekend, or on-call work for training sessions or home visits., • Leadership and team management., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities., • Problem-solving and conflict resolution., • Detail-oriented with strong ethical standards
