Job Description PROJECT MANAGER/PROJECT LEAD - IT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT OFFICE Remote Position | Part-Time 20 Hours/Week Please answer all screening questions in your application to ensure a response from our team. POSITION OVERVIEW Seeking an experienced Project Manager/Project Lead to work directly with a state institution's Portfolio Management Office to ensure successful completion of information technology projects. POSITION DETAILS • Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week (flexible between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST), • Location: 100% Remote, • Duration: 3-month contract with possibility for extension, • Conversion Opportunity: Strong potential to apply for permanent FTE role, • Develop, implement, and oversee standardized project management processes and methodologies, • Prepare documentation and deliverables for audiences of varying technical knowledge levels, • Monitor project performance and report progress through dashboards and executive summaries, • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and ensure quality standards across all deliverables, • Support stakeholder engagement and facilitate cross-departmental communications, • Mentor and coach team members on Agile practices and project execution, • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification, • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of related work experience OR 9+ years of related work experience, • 1+ year experience working with Business Analysts, • 1+ year experience working with Kanban methodologies, • Product Owner experience, • Experience working with ServiceNow, • Experience working with Data Analysts or Data Scientists, • Previous experience in an IT role (analyst, programmer, etc.), • Additional PMI or Agile/Scrum certifications, • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional team leadership experience, • Experience with risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution, • Previous experience in Higher Education environment, • State government or public sector project experience, • Experience with budget management and cost optimization, • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
