SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for the daily supervision and management of a primary care group of up to 5 children, Ranging form 6 weeks- 1 year of age., • Plans, implements, and supervises the class's daily program according to the philosophy of LeafSpring School., • Incorporates principles of age-appropriate growth and development and developmentally appropriate practice in daily lesson plans., • Must complete the Virginia Preservice Training (10-hr training)THE CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:, • Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and teachers., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • A positive attitude and work ethic must be a team player!MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:, • 6+ months of programmatic experience, working in a licensed and/or accredited child care facility required., • High School Diploma required. Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or another child-related field. (assistance available for those who want to further their degree!), • Does not have scheduling restrictions between the hours of 6:45 am-6:15 pmWe will train you and give you valuable industry experience. Daycare, nanny, summer camp, babysitting, Montessori, and Reggio-Emilio experience welcome!
