Job DescriptionJob Title: Licensed Electrician Job Description This role focuses on electrical installation and rough-in work for a multi-family construction project. You will bend and run conduit, install lighting packages, wire and pull various types of cable, and support the completion of apartment rough-ins while ensuring safe and reliable electrical service. Responsibilities • Bend and install conduit for new electrical installations throughout the multi-family construction site., • Run conduit to designated locations according to project plans and electrical codes., • Install lighting packages, including fixtures and related components, in apartments and common areas., • Perform wiring tasks, including pulling wire and routing MC, BX, and Romex cable as required., • Rough in electrical systems for apartments, including boxes, outlets, switches, and associated wiring., • Install electrical panels and perform related panel work to support up to 2400 amp service., • Work with Lutron lighting systems and other lighting controls as part of the overall lighting package., • Read and interpret blueprints to plan and execute electrical installations accurately., • Install boxes, outlets, and switches in accordance with project specifications and electrical standards., • Troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve installation and wiring problems on site., • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and applicable codes., • Use appropriate journeyperson hand tools and PPE to complete tasks safely and efficiently., • Collaborate with site teams to coordinate rough-in work, pulling wire, and routing BX and MC cable., • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle materials and equipment.Essential Skills, • Active E1 or E2 electrical license., • Strong experience with electrical work in multi-family construction environments., • Proficiency in bending and installing conduit, including conduit bending for various applications., • Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, including MC, BX, and Romex cable., • Ability to perform rough-in work for apartments, including panels, boxes, outlets, and switches., • Experience with 2400 amp service work and associated electrical panel installations., • Skill in installing and troubleshooting lighting systems, including Lutron systems and lighting packages., • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and construction drawings., • OSHA 10 certification., • Capability to troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve wiring and installation problems., • Reliable use of full PPE and journeyperson hand tools for daily tasks.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in multi-family construction projects, particularly rough-in apartment work., • Comfort working with a variety of electrical systems, panels, and lighting controls., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices., • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with onsite teams., • Good organizational skills for managing materials, tools, and work areas.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based on a multi-family construction site in Newington, CT. Standard hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Full PPE is required at all times, and you will use journeyperson hand tools to complete daily tasks. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with a focus on safety, collaboration, and high-quality electrical installations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newington, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
