In this role, you will operate cut off saws, trim presses, and related equipment to cut plastic pipe, profiles, tubes, and extrusions to precise customer specifications. You will be responsible for maintaining high production quality, adhering to safety standards, and meeting daily output targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and monitor cut off saws, rotary blade cutters, or trim presses used on plastic extrusions, pipe, tubing, and profiles., • Read and interpret work orders, cut sheets, and blueprints to ensure parts are cut to correct lengths and tolerances., • Measure finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy against specifications., • Adjust machine settings (blade speed, feed rate, cut length) to maintain product quality and minimize waste., • Perform routine machine maintenance including blade changes, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting., • Inspect finished parts for burrs, cracks, warping, discoloration, or other defects and remove non-conforming product., • Stack, bundle, label, and stage finished product according to work order and packaging instructions., • Maintain an accurate production count and complete required paperwork, production logs, and quality records., • Keep the work area clean and organized; follow 5S standards and housekeeping requirements., • Communicate proactively with the lead or supervisor regarding material shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns., • Follow all safety procedures including proper use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toed boots)., • Assist with other production duties as assigned by the supervisor.
