About the Role We are seeking experienced talent to join our Audit Department. This role offers an opportunity to work with a variety of clients across industries, lead audit engagements, and mentor staff while developing expertise. Individuals at this level are CPAs and have typically had a minimum of three years’ experience as a supervisor (or at least seven years of industry experience) and have exhibited technical proficiency and the ability to supervise complete engagements. Key Responsibilities • Take on a more significant role in managing, communicating, and servicing of their assigned clients, • Hold self and others accountable for upholding our firm’s quality and ethical standards and risk management practices; makes sound risk management decisions – ensure compliance with accounting standards in their assigned areas, • Assign work to interns, associates, senior associates, and supervisors based on their knowledge and capabilities – provide feedback to them and evaluate their progress; serve as a coach and mentor to audit staff, • Provide supervision over associates, senior associates, and supervisors provide feedback to them, and evaluate their progress, • Prepare client billings fairly, accurately, and promptly, • Become experts in assigned areas – can articulate complex financial information to a variety of clients, • Actively develops an internal/external network and relationships to grow one’s career, enhance business advisor status with clients, build the practice and serve clients; knows the right people in market/industry, • Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm, • Assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by the partners, • Regularly and proactively meets with clients regarding the engagement and tailors client service approach based on knowledge of client needs and how they want to be served; identifies opportunities to leverage firm resources and subject matter experts to best serve clients Skills & Competencies • Prior experience as a direct supervisor for a staff consisting of different professional levels, • Strong ability to coach, mentor, and develop others, • Ability to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining engagement oversight, • Ability to articulate complex financial information to clients in a clear and concise manner, • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions, • Relationship-building skills to foster long-term client and team connections, • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance Requirements • Licensed CPA, • Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Public Company Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards, as applicable – proficiency in using accounting/audit software applications and Microsoft Office & Teams, • Audit professionals are expected to work in-person at MH office or client site (remote work available with approval); some client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay Benefits Include • Comprehensive health plan, • Paid time off + 9 paid holidays annually, • 401(k) with employer contributions, • CPA Exam Reimbursement, • Employee referral bonus program, • Health club reimbursement, • Flexible work arrangements Our Mission To lead the accounting industry in transformative solutions that drive our clients’ success by implementing innovative technologies and embracing emerging markets. Compensation At M|H, compensation is designed to reflect an individual’s experience, qualifications, and market conditions within their role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns) for this position takes multiple factors into account, including education, relevant skills, work experience, certifications, and location. As a result, the final offer for the selected candidate(s) may fall anywhere within the stated range. This position is bonus eligible. M|H is an equal opportunity employer.
