Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join our legal team in Cleveland, Ohio. This Contract to permanent position involves providing critical legal and administrative support across litigation, public records, and eviction cases. The ideal candidate will excel in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and respond to public records requests and subpoenas, ensuring timely and accurate document production., • Maintain and organize legal files, records, and documentation in compliance with retention policies., • Perform legal research on federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and case precedents., • Monitor litigation and eviction dockets, keeping track of deadlines, filings, and case progress., • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and reports, for attorney review., • File legal documents with courts and external agencies as required., • Provide administrative support to the legal department, ensuring smooth daily operations., • Assist with trial preparations, discovery processes, and case management activities., • Utilize legal software tools to streamline documentation and research tasks.• Associate’s Degree and Paralegal certification are required., • At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on litigation support., • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing legal files., • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment., • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion., • Familiarity with legal software tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, Clio, or Lexis is preferred., • Knowledge or experience in public sector, housing, or government legal matters is advantageous., • Background in evictions or landlord-tenant cases is highly desirable.
