About the Role We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Distribution Center Operations Manager to lead our distribution center team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Distribution operation. As the Distribution Center Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our distribution center's operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of supervisors and associates, optimizing processes, and ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of products to our customers. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of distribution center operations. This position will lead our weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time. You’ll Make a Difference By • Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of supervisors and warehouse associates to ensure high levels of performance, engagement, and productivity. Supervising a team of Shift Supervisors (2-5 front-line supervisors, depending on location) and associates in outbound or inbound operations. Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures, • Operational Excellence: Continuously improving distribution center processes to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and safety while minimizing costs, • Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory control and management, ensuring accuracy in stock levels, tracking, and cycle counting, • Quality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to meet or exceed product quality standards, • Health and Safety: Ensuring the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of the shift, • Performance Metrics: Setting and monitoring KPIs, tracking performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve operational goals. Engaging in strategic planning and forecasting, appraising performance, resolving problems, and addressing staffing needs, • Budget Management: Developing and managing the distribution center budget, controlling expenses, and optimizing resource allocation, • Vendor Relations: Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolving any issues that may arise, • Technology Utilizations: Implementing and leveraging warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to enhance operational efficiency, • Continuous Improvement: Driving process improvements and keeping pace with growth while motivating others to meet challenges in a deadline-driven environment, • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards, • Assisting with other responsibilities as assigned based on business needs About You • Candidates must be available to work weekends regularly and support other shifts based on business needs, • Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud, • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, • Proven experience (5+ years) in distribution center management or similar roles within the logistics industry, • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively, • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, • Ability to develop and share best practices across the shifts and network, • Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learning, • In-depth knowledge of distribution center operations, inventory management, and logistics, • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and related software, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, • Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in warehouse operations, • Budget management experience is a plus About Ariat Ariat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations.
