Job Description Remote -Patient Services Representative (PSR) Location: Remote | Start Date: October 13, 2025 Pay Rate: $19.50/hr. | Full-Time, Monday-Friday 2nd shift - 11.30 am to 8.30 pm EST Are you someone who thrives in a customer-focused role and enjoys making a difference in patients' lives? In this remote call center role, you'll work directly with patients, providers, and caregivers to complete enrollment activities, answer program-related questions, and help coordinate care through healthcare providers, all while delivering an excellent customer experience. ✅ Position Summary: Under the general direction of an Operations Manager, the PSR provides well-defined support services that ensure seamless access to care for patients. You'll engage with patients and their healthcare teams to verify coverage, overcome access barriers, and assist with program navigation. ️ Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Depending on the specific contracted services of the program, your responsibilities may include: • Responding to inbound calls and general program inquiries, • Determining eligibility for support programs, including Copay, PAP, and Medicaid, • Coordinating pharmacy triage and processing wholesale orders, • Conducting follow-up on missing information, prior authorization requirements, or other documentation needs, • Intake and reporting of adverse events as directed, • Researching and resolving claim denials or underpayments, • Collecting required information using approved methods such as phone, fax, mail, or online systems, • Providing outstanding customer service to internal and external customers and resolving requests promptly and accurately, • Escalating complaints appropriately and in a timely manner, • Identifying and reporting trends or delays to program management (e.g., billing or claim denials, pricing errors, payment issues), • Ensuring that all correspondence (phone, fax, mail, etc.) meets quality standards, • Collaborating with patients, providers, and internal teams to ensure documentation is complete per program guidelines, • Working on moderately complex issues that require analysis of various factors, • Exercising judgment within defined standard operating procedures to determine appropriate action, • Working independently from a phone or system queue and staying self-motivated, • Adhering to defined SOPs while receiving feedback and performance coaching from management, • High school diploma or GED required, • Training in fields such as business administration, accounting, computer science, medical billing and coding, or customer service, • Completion of a two-year associate degree, technical training program, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, • 3+ years of directly related progressively responsible experience required, • A two-year degree may be used in lieu of 2 years of experience, • Effective oral and written communication skills, • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external contacts, • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism, • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, • Solid mathematical and basic analytical abilities, • General knowledge of:, • Accounting principles, • Pharmacy operations, • Medical claims processes, • General knowledge of healthcare billing (preferred), • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, • Noise level is consistent with a typical office setting, • Windows 10 OR 11 OS laptop or desktop (no tablets or Apple products), • External mouse (required), • External keyboard (optional), • A minimum of two screens (one laptop screen + one external monitor), • Sedentary work involving frequent reaching, sitting, lifting, typing, grasping, and hearing, • Visual focus required for close work, with the ability to adjust to varying distances and light levels, • 75% or more of the day is spent working on a computer screen Apply today and take the next step in your healthcare support career.
