Job DescriptionDescription: Manager, IT & Business Systems – Evans Group Location: Flexible depending on the right candidate. Remote or Hybrid/On-site if located near an Evans Group location in RI or CA. The Evans Group unites four industry leaders—Evans, Paktron, UTC, and Eulex—to deliver one of the industry’s most specialized and comprehensive capacitor portfolios. Together, the group provides power-dense, high-reliability capacitor solutions engineered for mission-critical applications across defense, aerospace, energy, and advanced RF systems. All Evans Group capacitor manufacturers are based in the United States. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Manager, IT & Business Systems is responsible for overseeing business systems and coordinating IT operations and compliance activities across the entire Evans Block, which is comprised of multiple business units and sites. The role ensures that core systems and IT services operate reliably and support business needs across the organization. This position plays a key role in supporting SOX and CMMC level 2 readiness as it relates to business systems and IT operations, working closely with internal teams and external service providers to help ensure appropriate controls, documentation, and processes are in place. The role also supports business system enhancements and cross site initiatives that improve operational efficiency, consistency, and control effectiveness. This role will report to the Evans Group Controller. Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide unified coordination and oversight for business systems, IT operations, and security and compliance activities across Evans Block sites, including support for SOX and CMMC readiness, ensuring reliable operations, effective controls, and regulatory audit readiness., • Support and improve Acumatica ERP by applying a strong working understanding of Evans Block business systems and end-to-end processes to manage user access, workflows, reporting, approvals, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing process optimization., • Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, HR, Payroll, and site leadership to ensure business systems support accurate transactions, efficient workflows, reliable reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable business processes., • Serve as the primary coordinator for user access governance across business systems and IT platforms, including access provisioning, periodic access reviews, owner validation, and coordination with IT and Compliance teams., • Coordinate day-to-day IT operations with local managed service providers and internal IT resources to ensure reliable support for hardware, networking, endpoints, user access, cybersecurity tools, backups, and related infrastructure services., • Partner with corporate Compliance and IT teams to support SOX, CMMC, and cybersecurity requirements, including system and access controls, audit readiness, evidence collection, documentation, and remediation tracking., • Help ensure ongoing effectiveness of system and access controls by evaluating system changes, process updates, and role changes that could impact SOX and CMMC requirements., • Manage and support initiatives related to ERP and business systems enhancements, compliance and cybersecurity readiness, HRIS support, reporting, integrations, vendor coordination, process improvement, and cross site standardization, working across business units and service providers as needed., • Support HRIS platforms such as Paylocity in coordination with HR, Payroll, Finance, Arxis resources, and vendors, with a focus on access controls, reporting, integrations, issue escalation, and data security., • Support onboarding, offboarding, and role change processes by ensuring appropriate system access is provisioned, modified, or removed across ERP, HRIS, Microsoft platforms, and other business systems., • Identify gaps between business processes and system functionality and recommend improvements, configuration changes, reporting enhancements, training, or process standardization., • Partnered with Sales and customer-facing teams to complete customer cybersecurity questionnaires, surveys, and compliance requests accurately, consistently, and on time., • Develop and maintain action plans, task trackers, timelines, and status reporting to ensure system, IT, compliance, and vendor related initiatives progress effectively, and issues are addressed in a timely manner., • Track IT, business systems, ERP, compliance, vendor, and security related action items through completion and closure., • Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, customer, supplier, technical, and business sensitive information., • Perform other related duties as needed to support business operations and compliance objectives. Requirements: Required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: • Acumatica ERP functionality, business processes, user access, workflows, reporting, controls, and system optimization., • Business systems and end-to-end processes across finance, accounting, purchasing, inventory, sales order management, production, costing, reporting, and operations., • Multi-site IT coordination, MSP management, vendor accountability, support escalation, and service expectations., • Project management practices related to ERP systems, IT support, cybersecurity, compliance readiness, vendor coordination, audit remediation, and business process improvement., • SOX compliance, IT general controls, access reviews, segregation of duties, change management, audit evidence, and control documentation., • CMMC and NIST 800-171 concepts, cybersecurity practices, documentation, evidence collection, and remediation tracking., • Impact assessment considerations for system, process, and access changes on control effectiveness, compliance requirements, and operational risk., • HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, particularly related to access, reporting, integrations, onboarding/offboarding workflows, payroll-related interfaces, and internal controls., • Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and common business communication and collaboration tools. Ability to: • Serve as a hands-on systems, IT coordination, project management, and compliance leader across multiple business units and sites., • Coordinate effectively with corporate IT & Compliance, local MSPs, Acumatica consultants and vendors, and internal stakeholders., • Translate business needs into practical system, processes, reporting, control, and compliance solutions., • Plan, organize, and manage cross-functional projects involving systems, IT, compliance, vendors, consultants, and multiple business units or sites., • Track action items, owners, deadlines, risks, dependencies, and follow-up items through completion., • Support Acumatica and other business systems while knowing when to escalate complex technical needs to consultants or specialists., • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences., • Prioritize competing needs across multiple sites, recurring compliance requirements, audits, projects, and daily user support., • Drive accountability and follow-through among vendors, consultants, MSPs, and internal stakeholders., • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, accuracy, and sound judgment. Education and Experience Education: • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred., • Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered., • Relevant certifications preferred but not required, including ERP or business systems certifications (e.g., Acumatica), cybersecurity or compliance certifications (e.g., CMMC related certifications, Security+, CISA, CISSP, CRISC), or service management / project certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP). Qualifications: • Must be a U.S. person as defined under ITAR, or otherwise authorized to access ITAR-controlled technical data., • Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in business systems, ERP support, IT coordination, cybersecurity compliance, finance systems, internal controls, audit support, project management, or related roles., • Experience supporting Acumatica ERP strongly preferred., • Experience working in a multi-site manufacturing, aerospace, defense, engineered components, electronics, or similar industrial environment preferred., • Experience managing or supporting cross-functional systems, IT, compliance, vendor, or business process improvement projects preferred., • Experience coordinating with MSPs, ERP consultants, auditors, compliance teams, HRIS vendors, or corporate IT resources preferred., • Experience with SOX, CMMC, NIST 800-171, IT general controls, user access reviews, cybersecurity documentation, or audit evidence collection preferred. Success in the First 6-12 months • Become the trusted go to resource for CMMC, SOX, IT coordination, customer surveys, and audit support., • Lead Evans Block through a CMMC Level 2 assessment, • Established a clear process for completing customer, vendor, cybersecurity, audit, and compliance questionnaires., • Supported SOX implementation through IT control documentation, access reviews, evidence gathering, and remediation tracking., • Served as the primary liaison between managed service providers, Corporate IT, Corporate Compliance, Evans Block leadership, and site users., • Established a clear communication and responsibility model between IT providers, vendors, users, and compliance stakeholders., • Created a clear path for document control related to CMMC, SOX, cybersecurity, audits, and other compliance areas. Physical Requirements • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer., • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with employees, vendors, consultants, auditors, and leadership., • Ability to use standard office equipment, computers, and business systems., • Ability to occasionally move around office, production, and IT equipment areas., • Ability to occasionally lift or move IT equipment such as laptops, monitors, peripherals, or small network equipment, typically up to 25 pounds., • Ability to travel occasionally to Evans Block business unit locations as needed., • Ability to work in office, manufacturing, and production environments, subject to local site safety requirements.
