Job Description Mixing and Coating Manufacturing Operator 2nd or 3rd shift Paying up to 30/hr Job Description The Coat Manufacturing Operator supports pharmaceutical manufacturing by setting up, operating, and tearing down commercial-scale production lines in a clean room environment. The role follows current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and standard operating procedures, and requires accurate documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDPs). The operator works with mixing, coating, slitting, converting, and packaging equipment to help ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production. Responsibilities • Assist with the set up, routine operation, and tear down of pharmaceutical manufacturing production lines on commercial-scale equipment., • Operate and support equipment used for mixing, coating, slitting, rotary converting, and packaging as needed., • Learn, gain, and apply the technical aptitude required for mixing, coating, slitting, rotary converting, and packaging processes., • Learn and retain key technical concepts for converting production lines, including web handling, tensions, gear ratios, splices, die stations, vision systems, and pick-in-place systems., • Learn and retain key technical concepts for mixing and coating production lines, including order of additions, solvation, emulsions, coat weights, percent solids, assay, and viscosity., • Monitor manufacturing processes during production to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to specifications., • Perform roll changes and in-process inspections to maintain continuous and compliant production., • Support the manufacturing line lead with line set-up, line tear-down, equipment cleaning, and other production activities as assigned., • Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and standard operating procedures at all times., • Complete manufacturing records accurately and legibly using Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)., • Read, understand, and follow chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure safe handling of materials., • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with clean room and safety requirements., • High school diploma or GED., • At least 6 months to 1+ years of experience working in a cGMP production environment., • Experience operating mixing, coating, or blending machinery and working with chemicals., • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or food production environments is strongly preferred., • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English., • Ability to read and understand chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS)., • Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a regulated manufacturing setting., • Capability to learn and apply technical concepts related to mixing, coating, slitting, rotary converting, and packaging., • Technical or associate degree is preferred., • Experience with blueprint reading is beneficial., • Prior experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or chemical compounding is an advantage. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
