Job Description Summary: • The Power Plant Maintenance Regional/Site Supervisor is Strata’s on-the-ground leader for safe, compliant, and high-performing O&M execution for the assigned region/site, directing day-to-day work of Power Plant Maintenance Technicians and subcontractors. The role provides technical leadership across Photovoltaic (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), telecom/SCADA, and mechanical maintenance; schedules and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance; ensures complete, accurate maintenance reporting and inspection/test documentation; and serves as a primary technical resource for the team and organization., • The Supervisor promotes and supports compliance with OSHA/NFPA requirements and Strata safety policies, ensures LOTO and electrical isolation practices are followed, identifies and escalates hazards, coordinates switching activities when authorized, and leads troubleshooting and investigation of outages, underperformance, and SCADA anomalies., • The position owns leadership and accountability including hiring support, training and development of technicians, performance reviews, time/PTO approvals, and coordination with external parties while maintaining compliance with warranty and O&M contract obligations., • For this site, the Supervisor (and all personnel under this role) must obtain and maintain MWAA badging and pass required background checks as a condition of site access. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Promote and support safe work practices across PV and BESS activities in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, applicable state/local codes, and Strata safety policies and procedures; ensure employees and subcontractors work within approved controls and methods., • Supervise day-to-day activities of site/regional electrical teams supporting PV power generation and BESS installations; provide field leadership and work direction to employees, subcontractors, and other site parties., • Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for the assigned site/region; coordinate priorities to support availability and performance., • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, controls, and communications/SCADA issues across PV and BESS installations, including AC/DC circuits and balance-of-plant equipment., • Lead BESS operational readiness and O&M execution, including coordination of OEM-required maintenance, alarm/event review, and safe troubleshooting of PCS, battery systems, auxiliary systems, and BOP interfaces., • Manage vendor/OEM field activities to ensure safe execution, scope adherence, quality outcomes, and complete closeout documentation (test reports, as-left conditions, punch lists, and warranty evidence)., • Maintain working knowledge of electrical theory and design documents; serve as a technical resource to technicians and internal stakeholders during troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and event response., • Ensure isolation practices are followed, including application and verification of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical boundaries; coordinate switching activities when authorized and qualified., • Compile, complete, and review maintenance reports and inspection/test results; maintain accurate maintenance records and required safety documentation to support audit readiness and contractual performance., • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules aligned with component warranty requirements and site maintenance strategy., • Manage site/regional spare parts and critical inventory to support planned and emergent maintenance needs., • Use standard electrical test equipment and tools as required (e.g., multimeters, low-resistance ohmmeters, PV analyzers, IR thermometer/camera, irradiance meter) to verify conditions and repairs., • Lead team development, including safety briefings, on-the-job technical training, and task-specific coaching for employees and subcontractors., • Review and approve direct report timesheets and PTO requests in accordance with company policy., • Lead investigation of significant events (safety, outages, underperformance, SCADA anomalies), document findings, and track corrective actions to closure to reduce recurrence. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Direct supervision of Power Plant Maintenance Technicians and subcontractors, to include interviewing & hiring new personnel as well as performance management of existing personnel. Environmental Responsibilities: • Participate in environmental compliance programs, inspections, and administrative recordkeeping., • Support and maintaining compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations., • Assist with environmental incident response and mitigation activities as required. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: • Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E principles, NESC awareness, and MV safety practices., • Must complete MWAA badging and background checks as a condition of site access., • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent., • Minimum five (5) years’ experience working on industrial electrical systems (AC/DC), with at least two (2) years supporting utility-scale PV generation or directly transferable power generation/industrial electrical experience aligned to this role., • Minimum three (3) years’ experience supervising electrical work with primary responsibility for electrical safety and process adherence for personnel performing such work., • Strong knowledge of electrical theory and PV power generation system fundamentals., • Aptitude for learning and applying test equipment, tools, and procedures used in PV power generation maintenance., • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with technicians, operations/ROC personnel, vendors, and subcontractors., • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop field teams (work planning, coaching, accountability)., • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn new computer programs and platforms., • Ability to operate in a professional, workmanlike manner consistent with organizational policies, procedures, and expectations., • Maintain a valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time., • Must have the ability to travel for extended duration to remote project sites., • Must be able to stoop, kneel, or bend., • Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly., • 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, and ability to distinguish colors., • Ability to wear full complement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)., • Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours, and weekends About Us Strata Clean Energy is a leading developer, EPC, and service provider for utility-scale solar and storage systems in the United States.
