Learn more about us on our website: Summary of Responsibilities The Senior Construction Manager oversees the Production Department, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Purchasing Coordinators, and Warranty operations. You’ll ensure all residential design-build projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with JRP’s high-quality standards. This role requires a strong leader who can manage teams with professionalism, enforce consistent processes, and provide operational guidance across multiple departments. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Architecture, Interior Design, and Development to ensure constructability and production-focused solutions throughout the project lifecycle. Essential Functions Departmental Oversight & Leadership: • Lead Production Department personnel with clear expectations and accountability., • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and corrective actions., • Conduct recurring Production meetings and represent Production in leadership discussions., • Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and best practices., • Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards. Resource & Workflow Management: • Assign projects based on workload, geography, project type, and PM skill set, • Oversee Purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate material ordering and delivery, • Ensure workflows support clear communication, efficiency, and safety Quality Control & Client Satisfaction: • Ensure all materials, documents, schedules, and logistics are ready before mobilization, • Conduct regular job site visits to verify workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and adherence to standards, • Hold teams and trade contractors accountable for jobsite professionalism and proper protection of materials and client property, • Support PMs with escalated client concerns and guide conflict resolution, • Oversee Warranty Program operations to ensure timely service and follow-through Cross-Department Collaboration: • Collaborate with Sales, Design, and Architecture teams on constructability, sequencing, and planning, • Provide production feedback to Project Developers regarding trade contractor and vendor choices, • Participate in pre-construction meetings, scope reviews, and budget alignment., • Utilize the Pre-Sale Process to resolve scope, plan, and budget conflicts before release to Production Reporting & Performance Tracking: • Monitor Buildertrend daily logs and communications to ensure documentation compliance, • Provide regular project and departmental updates to Leadership, • Participate in monthly WIP reporting to support accurate forecasting Technical & Operational Duties: • Enforce daily documentation and communication standards, • Ensure all project schedules are realistic, accurate, and updated regularly, • Uphold JRP standards for jobsite cleanliness, safety, and organization, • Manage warehouse, trailers, and fleet maintenance, • Build strong professional relationships with trade contractors, enforce JRP standards, and oversee performance management, • Review variances and guide PMs to maintain project profitability, • Ensure accurate and timely change order management Education, Experience, and Skills • 10+ years of residential construction experience, • 5+ years in managerial roles overseeing multi-project teams, • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and project management, • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication, • Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office, Buildertrend, and Ninety, • Experience with financial oversight, WIP reporting, and change order management Salary & Compensation • $150K–$200K, based on experience, • Simple IRA with employer match, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Flexible paid time off (PTO + sick days) for any purpose, increasing with tenure How to Apply • Submit an updated resume, • Be prepared to provide 3 professional references We have a formal recruiting process and work with Zephyr Connects LLC for screening and hiring.
