Ensure a safe, clean work environment and contribute to an exceptional guest experience through teamwork and professionalism. Responsibilities include: • Prepare food according to company and brand standards, • Ensure proper food handling, storage, portion control, and quality, • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas in compliance with health regulations, • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, • Receive, store, and requisition food and supplies, • Report maintenance or safety issues promptly, • Assist with inventories and daily kitchen operations, • Work closely with kitchen management and other departments, • Provide friendly, professional service and assist with guest concerns as needed, • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, • Knowledgeable in food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen operations, • Team-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated, • Professional, flexible, and guest-focused, • High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent., • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Basic mathematical and computational ability, • Ability to read and follow recipes and written instructions, • Demonstrated knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, sanitation, and plate presentation, • Ability to safely operate and demonstrate kitchen skills including cutting, cooking, and food handling, • Knowledge of and ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, slicers, mixers, grinders, and choppers, • Primarily indoor work in a temperature-controlled environment, • Ability to work in extreme temperatures including freezers (down to -10°ree;F) and hot kitchens (up to 110°ree;F) for extended periods, • Ability to stand and move for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time), • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull:, • Food trays/items up to 30 lbs regularly, • Supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs, • Carts and equipment up to 250 lbs, • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and reach overhead regularly, • Manual and finger dexterity to handle knives, tools, kitchen machinery, and office equipment, • Ability to maneuver efficiently in confined spaces and respond to multiple simultaneous tasks, • Continuous use of vision, including near vision and depth perception, • Being passionate about people and service., • Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees., • Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc., • Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit., • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used., • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays The Henry Hotel is an Equal Opportunity employer.
