Job Title: Facilities Assistant Salary: £24,308 per annumClosing Date: About the Role Join Our Team as a Facilities Assistant at Printworks Campus Are you a proactive and reliable individual who takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning environments? We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our college campus. This is a key role ensuring that our students, staff, and visitors enjoy a high-quality learning and working environment. If you’re hands-on, approachable, and ready to make a real difference behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you. This is a full-time role of 37 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday on a rotational shift pattern, with coverage required between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00pm. What You Will Do • Litter Picking, cleaning external areas., • Refilling photocopiers and distributing internal and external mail., • Setting up of rooms, which include moving furniture for teaching and exam requests., • Assisting the Facilities Supervisor with weekly compliance checks., • Unlocking and Locking up of the premises including setting of the Intruder Alarm., • Assist the site team and provide support with the Emergency Evacuation Procedures such as Fire Alarm Activations and any other emergency., • Support the Facilities Supervisor with on-site contractors and visitors, ensuring an understanding of the College guidelines and procedures., • Minor repairs. About You, • Previous experience in a customer service role, with responsibilities that included opening and securing buildings, as well as general building security., • You should have excellent communication skills, work well as part of a team, and remain focused on tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations., • A GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths is required Annual leave: Curriculum and Management: 44 days plus bank holidays Curriculum support and business support: 39 days plus bank holidays Pension schemes with generous employer contributions: Teachers’ Pension Scheme Local Government Pension Scheme People’s Pension Scheme CPD opportunities: Annual staff conference plus 2 additional staff development days.
