\n Cammach are currently recruiting for an Accounts Administrator on behalf of our Aberdeen-based client. The company is growing rapidly, creating an exciting opportunity to join a developing and expanding business. This is a permanent (staff) opportunity which will be fully office based. \n ROLE \n \n • We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Accounts Administrator to join our clients growing marine safety business in Aberdeen. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of accounts administration while also supporting the wider business wherever required.\n, • As a small to medium-sized company, we are looking for someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves, take ownership of their workload, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the business. No two days are the same, and flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.\n \n RESPONSIBILITIES \n Accounts Administration \n \n • Processing sales invoices and credit notes\n, • Managing purchase ledger activities and supplier invoices\n, • Reconciling creditor and debtor accounts\n, • Credit control and customer account management\n, • Processing supplier payments\n, • Bank reconciliations\n, • Monitoring cash flow and maintaining accurate financial records\n, • Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation\n, • Supporting VAT returns and year-end audit requirements\n, • Processing employee expenses\n, • Maintaining purchase order records and ensuring financial compliance\n, • Assisting with payroll administration where required\n \n Business Support & Additional Duties \n \n • Providing general administrative support across the business\n, • Assisting with project administration and customer documentation\n, • Supporting stock control and inventory reporting\n, • Helping coordinate logistics, shipping and supplier information\n, • Maintaining company databases and records\n, • Supporting health, safety and quality administration\n, • Assisting with event planning, client visits and office management activities\n, • Supporting directors and operational teams with ad hoc administrative tasks\n, • Taking on additional responsibilities as the business grows\n \n REQUIREMENTS \n Skills & Experience \n \n • Previous experience in an accounts administration, finance assistant or bookkeeping role\n, • Experience working within an SME environment is highly desirable\n, • Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations\n, • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel\n, • Experience using Sage, Xero or similar accounting software\n, • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy\n, • strong organisational and time-management skills\n, • Able to work independently and prioritise workload effectively\n, • Positive, flexible attitude with a willingness to get involved in wider business activities\n, • Excellent communication skills and a team-player mentality\n \n Personal Attributes \n \n • Takes pride in producing accurate work\n, • Is adaptable and enjoys variety in their role\n, • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment\n, • Can build positive relationships across all areas of the business\n, • Is proactive and willing to identify improvements to processes\n, • Enjoys being part of a close-knit team and contributing beyond their core responsibilities\n \n
