With a strong reputation for service, quality, and reliability, the business is looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially driven Chinese-Speaking Business Development Manager to help accelerate growth, develop new opportunities, and expand market share.The RoleThis is a standalone, office-based Business Development role focused on identifying, generating, and converting new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing new accounts, re-engaging lapsed customers, and winning business from competitors while managing your own sales pipeline from initial prospecting through to close.As a key part of the role, you will utilise your Chinese language skills to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking customers , suppliers, and prospects , helping to build strong commercial relationships and open new business opportunities.The position is primarily based onsite in Corby when not attending customer meetings, with regular travel to visit clients across your territory.This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities, making it ideal for a self-motivated sales professional who thrives on autonomy, accountability, and achieving results.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop, and secure new business opportunitiesBuild relationships with Chinese-speaking and English-speaking customersRe-engage lapsed accounts and win competitor-held businessCross-sell and upsell across the company's full packaging product portfolioPromote and sell redundant or slow-moving stock where appropriateManage the entire sales cycle from prospecting through to closing dealsArrange and attend your own customer appointmentsDevelop and maintain a healthy sales pipelineBuild strong, long-term customer relationshipsAchieve and exceed revenue, margin, and activity targetsProvide accurate pipeline forecasting and activity reportingRepresent the business professionally at customer meetings and industry eventsBonus StructurePerformance-related bonuses are paid based on a range of factors, including:New business acquisitionRevenue growth and account developmentCross-selling across product categoriesSuccessful movement of redundant stockOverall revenue and margin performanceAbout YouProven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account ManagementPackaging industry experience is advantageous but not essentialFluent in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, or another Chinese dialect) and EnglishStrong track record of generating and winning new businessConfident in building relationships with customers at all levelsHighly motivated, target-driven, and commercially focusedStrong negotiation and closing skillsAble to work independently and manage your own workload effectivelyProficient in managing a sales pipeline and CRM systemsFull UK driving licenceWhat's on OfferBasic salary up to £45,000Uncapped bonus potentialMileage expenses paidOpportunity to develop and grow your own territorySupport from an established and experienced operational teamClear opportunity to make a significant impact on business growthIf you're a motivated Business Development professional with Chinese language skills and a passion for winning new business, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
